No team always wins - even the Harlem Globetrotters lose, despite playing deliberately ineffective opposition. The same principal should in theory apply to losing. No team always loses. The Sharks after so many losses in a row therefore must be getting closer to a win with increased probability this weekend even before factoring who the opposition is.

Geez the colts handed over a win with piss poor kicking...reserves are hell bent on replicating the colts performance....well done to the Perth colts on kicking straight...touch wood the league boys can kick straight....LOL

What a great 2nd half! It was looking a bit dire at the half but wow- what a 3rd quarter.

Finally, some relief. It might have only been Perth, but a win is a win.

Good for the Old Easts faithful and the players - some of whom it was their first league win.

Great to see youngsters in Holmes,Harding, Bennett and Burton getting some footy thru the midfle...they r the future....also Howson, Fahey and Mirco kicking some goals too...is Watson EF new number one ruck?....and where did Perham play?....looks like he got his hands on the footy a bit as well.

Good test v Peel next game....obviously their talls will test us....any chance EF can secure a 1 match permit for Luke Strnadica to don the blue n white v Peel?....LOL. Hopefully the reserves and colts can cure their goal kicking yips v Peel....two wins lost thru terrible inaccuracy...6.18 is shocking TBH

My feeling after the Claremont loss was that if the match had gone on for another minute we would of got the four points. Whilst it was disappointing to not get those four points I left feeling we were anything but losers and as it was only "Perth" coming up i was certain they would get a win.

As Matthew Burton turned 19 last Sunday the team yesterday comprised six 19 year olds. Jesse Mirco and Thomas Bennett are both 20. Nathan Fahey is 21. Thomas Marshall who was probably our BOG yesterday
playing in his 10th league game was the most experienced of that group. Yesterday was also his first league win.

Very ordinary first half yesterday but it was champagne football in the premiership quarter as 8 goals 8 behinds were added to our score and it all but over at 3 quarter time. 6 goals to 1 in the last. Perth scored just 2 goals 3 after half time.

Plenty of winners after half time for the blue and whites. Jupp, Schofield, Cuneo, Bailey, Bennett, Burton, Holmes,Harding,Marshall, Fahey, Stephen and Perham all very good yesterday. Perham did some rucking - the budget lists his height at 184cm though he does look much taller than that, and also played forward and back.
