Ark royals thread on the Subi Eagles got my mind spinning on the best 20 Eagles to come from Tigerland and here is what I came up with

B. Barass. McKenzie. B Jones

Hb. McKenna. McGovern. Kickett

C. Davidson. Malaxos. R Jones

Hf. Lewis. Mcintosh. Miles.

F. Evans. C Jones. Turnbull

Crabb, Maister

Bloody strong defence. Yes, Mcintosh was a champion full back but would have made a great forward also.

Did Dale Kickett play with the Eagles?

TOO: thanks for going to the trouble of putting the side together. I agree, it has a strong defence which it would need against the Subi side. It has a very impressive ruck division too, through the Gardiner Turnbull combination.

Is there anyone else you could put in the midfield so that Malaxos can play in the forward line to give it a bit more strength?

I must admit my criteria for selection wasn’t very strict Dd, Kickett played one game, possibly two back in 91 I think.

I suppose you could swap Evans and Malaxos in their positions Ark, I think Malaxos was an all Australian centreman back in 86 though.

I'D be interested in seeing your Cl/Freo team TOO.....the likes of Muir, Norrish, Leach, Delaney etc.....you would have a plethora of players to choose from.....Neesham did love his Cl boys when he coached Freo from the off....

Dale Kickett is definitely eligible for selection.

And for the East Freo /dockers Freezing I remember Neesham actually recruited his nephew from water polo who was playing east freo colts onto freos rookie list once!
