Pretty extraordinary that construction projects in Perth consistently run past their due date when building companies are whinging about not enough work being available and most trades I know also looking for work.

It was clear a number of weeks ago that the project was behind schedule.

Big project , there's a hell of a lot of residential component given the progress reports not really surprising
There doesn't appear to be much spectator area , might fit 10 000 in ??????

The surrounding residential developments have had no impact on Emco failing to deliver the CFC project on time.

From what I've seen I'd question whether the project will be completed and handed over by June. Past that point it will take another 4-6 weeks before it is able to fully fitted out and receive the appropriate local and state govt. permits and licences to be able to host a WAFL fixture.

Be lucky to be in before finals, if they get in at all this season.

No need for a capacity of 10,000 given most WAFL crowds are around 1000.

So it's the Footy development only holding up the opening

All eyes on alternative grounds then

As I understand it, the staged residential developments surrounding Claremont oval won't be completely finished for nearly a decade.

Suspect that members willing be asking questions of the Board and CEO as to why a plan B wasn't in place for 2017.

Given 4 suburban grounds in Joondy, Ef, SF & Swans are only used once a fortnight for WAFL games it cant be too hard to fixture Perth's and Claremont's home games at alternate locations. Plus there's always Subi oval which would be available on either a fri night Saturday or Sunday each weekend, lets not forget how quickly the WAFC bent over and took it when Freo demanded to host a Subi home game there last year following the contrived turfgate con. I'm sure both clubs would relish the chance to play at Subi, especially Perth who haven't played a league game there for many many years.

Pity Brian Burke wasn't still premier. Everything was finished on time in his era thanks to Union pressure on companies wanting projects finished on time. They were the days.

Official word from the club is now that the opening game will be round 12 10th June against East Fremantle, fingers crossed.
We will lose three home games - against subi to be played at shark park, against peel to be played at freo oval, and against Perth to be played at freo oval.
