After recent announcements around coaches it got me thinking which one has the biggest challenge next year?

Wardman coaching Subi with not a lot of experience or rubber on the road and taking the reins from the club's most successful coach ever, Valentine taking over a team which made this years GF but can't afford to recruit and is a shambles off the field or Monaghan where the club is in disarray on the field? Or is there someone else I wonder such as Spalding who has a team that promised so much for the first half of 2018 but delivered so little? For mine it's Valentine based on the circumstances he got the job, whether he can get them into finals calculations again and if he can coach at this level.

Excellent topic BC. All 4 of those clubs are going to be interesting to watch next season. Also Pickering at Swans will have his hands full trying to get that club firing. After Swans disappointing second half of the twenty 18 season. Have a feeling WP will go down a slippery slide, whereas EF certainly have the ability to improve. Perth showed promise and sadly fell away and lost focus. Spalding will need to work on getting 4 quarter efforts out of every match and asking his players for more competitive games. Bit difficult putting the finger on one. I think 5 of the coaches have big challenges next season.

I would say any coach that’s coaching a team that hasn’t won a flag in 41 years and hasn’t featured in a finals series for 21 years hands down has the biggest coaching challenge, that’s my poor old mob.

What challenge has Wardman got? He has the easiest gig in town as $ubi coach themselves.

The challenge for him is to keep the same standards and level of performance up. It's also not lost on me that he's around the same age as some of the more senior players and they've achieved more on the field than he has....so getting the plyers respect won't be easy. Suffice to say it's a puzzling appointment in my humble opinion.

I would have thought Barnard has a task in front of him trying not only to bring the club back together on the field but also off it but that is just my opinion
