Highly , however he did not have any success of premierships etc that the two John's had at the time in the club.
Stan the man took a group of young players from bottom of the ladder in 86 to playing off in a GF in 89 (beaten by Cl). IMO a great achievement as you well know Bazza he did it without a huge cheque book and was reliant upon developing young local talent. Was hard done by also when the club decided to move him on, Ric Gloede was president at that time Baz which probably sums up the decision.

It is unfortunate that some people love to blow their own trumpets Baz. Had it not been for the late Joe Maffina and others with the Save our Souths Campaign we would have surely gone under at that time.

Poor old Ken Smith was only at Old Easts for the 1 year (1981) Freeze sandwiched between his namesake Brad Smith's 2 year mixed bag reign and then Big Ron coming on board!

From Subi I'd say Bunton would be number 1 as he set up the 73 flag for Ross Smith then won 2 more in 86 and 88...Germo for taking the place by the scruff of the neck and instilling a winning culture with flags in 04 and 06 and of course Schofield who has built on Germo's good work.

Nationally I don't think you could go past the likes of Sheedy, Leigh Matthews, Malthouse and Clarkson.

Yes...his record speaks for itself but I was only a young bloke when he was in his prime as a coach so don't really recall that much about him.
