I respect your view point Dempsey but how many walked away and abandoned the club when the clubs moniker change from the Cardinals to the Falcons? How many abandoned the club when they moved to Joondalup? You have to embrace your future. Us old timers will not be around forever. My point is you would attract more sponsorship if you called yourself the Joondalup Falcons and grow your supporter base.

In 20 years, hardly anyone will be around who remembers the WPFC leederville days. Might as well move on, tbh I dont think Wpfc will survive that long.

One thing for sure is if West Perth change there name they will be be doomed immediately. It is the only currency they have. Unless there is business tycoon in Joondalup with $300k per annum to stump up then there is nothing to be gained but plenty to be lost. Alignment could be on the cards-dpo the members have to vote for that i wonder

I'm not so sure about that..there are a myriad of businesses that associate with Joondalup, and the name, I cant think of too many that have the same for the name West Perth...

Just think of Joondalup City Shopping Centre for starters..

Personally I think the ship has sailed on the Joondalup name change. A brave decision needed to be made perhaps by 10 years ago - I think it's a bit late now.

Did I hear correctly the other day that Optus are taking over the sponsorship? Might open a possibility of all games being streamed perhaps?
