You can't force someone if they don't want to do it. What you'll get is no one wanting to come into the WAFL system which would affect the overall standard if a draft was introduced.

And what has Randall got to do with anything? He's one of 8 Commissioners meaning he's not a decision maker on his own but one of many.

BC a very simple thing that the WAFC could do would be to reduce the points cap to say 90 and in concert with that they could introduce a weighting factor whereby a team that finished first and recruits a player from a bottom placed club would pay a premium that would provide a disincentive to recruit that player from a bottom club.

Swan could Swans or Claremont sides in the 2010 Grand Final beat that Subi side yesterday. That side ysrda is still a few players down on full strength.

I was waiting for Freezin to point out that we were missing Noble and Blight yesterday. We had some very good players in the 2010 GF. However, the situation now in the WAFL is entirely different to what it was in 2010. The most obvious difference is that any player drafted to the two WA domiciled AFL teams remained at their WAFL club now they play against their WAFL club. This effectively weakens the player's original club. What Subiaco have the ability to do but most if not all the non-aligned can't do is they raid other WAFL clubs players to improve their list and to weaken the other WAFL club.

That's a sensible post 42 as you're throwing up positive ideas rather than having a crack at my club. In saying that, who has Subi recruited from other WAFL clubs that is currently playing league footy? Sokol was playing ressies for Souths, Aaron Heal played a few games for Peel in 2011 before moving to Subi in 2014, Menegola was playing colts at EF...so you're suggestion about placing a premium on players from other clubs wouldn't work. There's a few others playing ressies such as Matera, Ray Daniels and such but if they're not world beaters so not sure they deserve a premium. A reduction in the points cap might work but it would have to be done gradually over a couple of years and not sure how you would apply it on a go forward basis but worth thinking about nonetheless.

I'm not aware of any concessions subi receive that give them an unfair advantage. Each club is responsible for their own environment. Good on subi if they can recruit players from other districts. They want to win premierships, players want to play for them. It's like hawthorn, who the hell would not want to get traded to hawthorn over the past 5 years.

Subi's mid 2000s side is stronger than this current side yet we seem to be more dominant this year. I think all sides are generally weaker in part to losing players to the two afl affiliates and no longer getting eagles and dockers allocated to them. Also it does not seem like clubs are recruiting Marquee players like they have in the past except subi and EF. Even though a club like Perth which is supposedly financial and have plenty of points have not recruited. WP have not recruited

Also some very good players have left subi but no other club picks them up.,,,,eg Dylan Clarke, Chris Deluca. Declan Jackson..any of these players would star at any other club.

They should simply make it that you cannot poach players from clubs that finished below you on the ladder and that is all players such as returning players from country or AFL etc.
Also reduce the points as it is still to high..

Great to see ALL 9 clubs have at least one win on board after 3 rounds....first time that has happened in a while I reckon....reigning premiers lost to the reigning wooden spooners today....3 games won by 1 goal or less in round 3....yeah a couple of blow outs....but that has happened most years from memory.... Great to see....

BC I have mentioned a weighting of the points many, many times before. We are not talking about Subiaco's domination in 2018 in isolation. To put it in perspective Subiaco's current percentage is 254% an not one other club has a percentage over 98%. When Subiaco "recruited" Brett Robinson virtually on the start of the season did it have a negative impact on Swans?

For the record I am HAVING a crack at your club with respect to the weighting of points because excluding the host club alignment the need for a weighting of points is required for your club and your club only.
