The WAFC has allowed a monster to grow legs and there is no end in sight to the dominance of Subiaco. They continue to go from strength to strength while the rest of the legitimate clubs go further into decline and serve only to make up the numbers and are nothing more than puppets in the Subiaco premiership show. The only thing that threatens their dominance is the alignment clubs and only one of them has managed to deny them and with a few less AFL players to pick in the finals this year that will most likely tip the scales Subiaco's way yet again.

When they win this years premiership which is already a formality 3 games into the season, it will be a worthless accomplishment and more a reflection of the inaction and unwillingness of the WAFC to care about and do anything to make the WAFL a fair competition. The WAFC are nothing more than puppets to the two AFL clubs.

One can only deduce that based on the WAFC's decisions that is exactly what they want.

So what would you like the WAFC to do DD? You lot are very good at pointing fingers but what is the answer to one team being better than the others? Subi operates under that same salary and points cap as everyone else and has never been found to be doing anything outside the rules unlike other clubs including your own. What should the WAFC do that they're not currently? Maybe Subi starts playing at quarter time...or only has 15 players on the ground at any one time or what about we blind fold them....is that what you're thinking? They're stupid solutions to stupid topic.

For a start BC Neil Randell should be removed from the WAFC and it is laughable that Subiaco have never been found guilty of exploiting the salary cap in some way or another. They can obviously afford the best accountants and lawyers that money can buy.

Secondly, Subiaco should be banned from recruiting for 5 years and there should be a draft introduced to the WAFL that means any players that want to move from interstate to the WAFL and players that want to change clubs should go into a draft that the worst performing clubs over the past 5 years can pick from. It can be done it just requires the will to do it.

I doubt any country footballers follow the WAFL so they should also go into a draft and WAFL clubs should no longer be aligned with any specific country zone.

So far I've not seen anything that is remotely sensible or doable in your post. A draft? What if a player coming from say the VFL or the country doesn't want to go to Perth or WP or SD? You can't force someone if they don't want to do it. What you'll get is no one wanting to come into the WAFL system which would affect the overall standard if a draft was introduced.

And what has Randall got to do with anything? He's one of 8 Commissioners meaning he's not a decision maker on his own but one of many.

Absolutely nothing would be "doable" in your eyes that would weaken Subiaco.

I think it's premature to lay the blame at Subiaco's feet. The whole Wafl competition has simply become a farcical nonsense.
We currently have the silliness of only 7 Wafl clubs in a 9 team set up.
The so called 'commission' still have serious questions to answer. And with the recent lies we were all told, they now look completely incompetent. Why is our so called "media" all prancing around like nothing is wrong! ?
The Wafl is in a very sick situation and no-one can see it! And nothing positive is being done to remedy the sad situation we now find ourselves in!

Maybe you are all looking at it from the wrong angle. Most WAFL clubs are a basket case, insolvent in their own right. Why don't they take a leaf out of Subiacos book and try to be more like subi.

Pissing and moaning about it does nothing, your all playing under the same rules.

Subiaco are a professional club, be more like subiaco.

Agree Tugboat wish we where all like Subi. They have had the right administration in place since the early 80's.And they use to have a go in the 70's signing big recruits from the east.
.But let's not forget the Subiaco Oval seats and corporate packages they sold.Made no money out of this GST strapped state the last few years. But over the distance that has set them up for the greatest period of Wafl domince the game has known.
They should of beat Peel in last years GF.And narrowly lost in 16 with one of there players Yarran causing all the damage..And two massive Liam Ryan chokes in both losing GF's.. And those Afl players at Peel where not all Afl teenagers. Some where 150 games AFL players.

BC a very simple thing that the WAFC could do would be to reduce the points cap to say 90 and in concert with that they could introduce a weighting factor whereby a team that finished first and recruits a player from a bottom placed club would pay a premium that would provide a disincentive to recruit that player from a bottom club.
