This is the link to a story about the new soon to be completed Joondy clubrooms. It's an absolute disgrace that visiting supporters and non members are banned from this tax payer funded facility except on a few select ocassions and then only in the company of a member. Welcoming and inclusive clubs like Swans, Souths, East freo and Subi encourage opposition members and supporters into their social rooms as part of the WAFL family, obviously Joondy, like Peel feel they are too good for that, both benifitting from tax payer funded facilities which should be open to all footy supporters not just the Joondy members. What an insult to say that you'll need to at least buy a social membership to get in. This is not what the WAFL is all about, obviously Joondy are in a better financial situation than they are letting on, the money spent by non members and opposition supporters is an important source of income to most clubs, but not, it seems to the knobs at Joondy.

Elitism is alive and thriving - at least in some areas.

I heard on the weekend that all is not too rosie between those running the show behind the scenes at West Perth. This decision is pathetic really

Gee that is disappointing by West Perth. This is another step towards taking all the fun and banter out of WAFL and turning it into a sanitised game like the AFL is.

Not sure why you are surprised by the decision. The biggest issue from them is still that make no money from their facilities! But then chickens and roosts!

That would be disappointing and a ridiculous business decision.
