Good debate. When I put the thread up, I must say, I was thinking of the best player, but I can see how some people could have interpretted it differently because of the use of the word 'over' Please feel free to respond as you see fit.

I would go with the following:
Andrew Krakouer (SD)
Ross Young (PFC)
Blakely (SD) -- he won Peel the flag last year
Horseley (S)
Bradshaw (C)
Smith (S)

Note the relative absence of key position players in the list

If this debate was the best player over the longest period of games. They played in the Wafl it would be Craig Wulff for me.

Bradshaw? Is that a typo Arkroyal? Handy at times but not even good enough to carry most of these blokes bags to the game!!

TOO: good spot -- I was thinking of Kane Mitchell -- sorry. He was dominant in the midfield of the early part of the decade.

I'm going to stick with my original as the subject of this thread didn't mention longevity or playing more than one season...it just asked who is the best player in the WAFL over the last 10 years...so for mine it goes to Menegola who got injured in preseason, missed the first half of the season as a result and still came second in the Sandover and dominated the comp averaging 25+ possessions each week...and also the Krak whose 2010 was unbelievable. To further emphasise the credentials of Menegola he's playing good footy even now at the highest level whereas the Krak failed to have an impact to any extent at Collingwood.

Krackouer was good enough to play in a grand final for Collingwood who were probably the best side going around that year but weren't good enough on the day so he certainly didn't fail to have an impact to any extent bc

It is just BC showing his football knowledge or more to the point lack there of yet again TOO.
Kicked 35 goals in 2011 for Collingwood including 3 in the AFL Grand Final vs Geelong and also took the mark of the year that season...hardly failing to have an impact!
Also he did his knee in 2012 and had to undergo a knee reco.

For pure class Ross Young and Andrew Krakouer for sure but surprised no one especially the Swans faithful has mentioned Tallen Ames and Tim Geapen. Geapen has probably been the best key forward since Brad Smith. Caused a lot of clubs headaches and won a lot of games off his own boot and not sure there has been a more versatile player in the last 20 years than Tallen Ames and played a lot of state footy. Very durable.

Alli Pickett was an amazing player, probably the best WAFL player not to play AFL (not including the VFL era). Stephen Michael and Billy Walker probably share that honour.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Sounds like with those stats mean Kraks was probably the player to play in the AFL over the last decade too BH.....did he even get a run through Collingwoods midfield?.......pretty sure Pendles and Dane were Collingwoods king pins in the midfield...perhaps that is what BC means by lack of impact after his stellar season in SD midfield the year before. Amazing to think the best midfielder to play WAFL over the last decade in a few folks eyes reduced to playing as a small forward from the looks of things....pity Kraks did his knee.....
