Change in the EF v SD game. I should have waited until Tuesday for the official figure instead of relying on the paper.

Any idea Ben ???

Nah last year was worse - only two games as well.

S v WP 2,005
P v CL 1,631

I'm certain we'll get more than 2,005 for the West Perth game on Friday Night. Hopefully around 2,600/2,800

Those figures from last season were crap aswell - I think it was the season before last and Subi played WP at home in a night game with a great crowd in the first round -
So what does the WAFL do ??? They didn't follow it up with the same fixture last season or this year. No wonder the WAFL is up to shit !!!

And surely with no AuFL playing last week the WAFL could be show-cased with a full round of fixtures and probably a night game for Subi at home and South in Freo ???

Give me strength !!!!

I wish they would at least rotate the first round bye on an even basis.

Subi have had the first round bye in 2013, 2011, 2010

Note to WAFL. Give Claremont the bye in round 1, 2014 will ya. Jeez, they've played Round 1 in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013.

Who actually provides the crowd figures for EF and Claremont ovals. Every time I go to those 2 grounds the crowd seems a hell of a lot less than the figure we see later in the week.

The clubs themselves provide the figures to the WAFL.

It's extremely unlikely that a club would "up" a figure. It doesn't make good sense come tax time.

In fact, it was suspected that one or two clubs were taking off some numbers - no names mentioned

It's always a bit tricky. Sometimes you get 500 at a colts game and all the parents, families, friends, talent scouts pile out straight after - not to mention the players these days as well.

Yeah true EF and C would have strong colts followings you would think. It makes it a bit misleading though when you consider that the crowd actually watching the league match is only about two thirds of the published attendance.
