Sad news about Robbie Flower. Never use to watch much vfl but I remember his name around a lot around the same time that Alan Jonson (could be Johnston) from Perth played for Melbourne.

Far too young.

Anyone know what happened>?
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Great footballer was one of mefavs growing up. Apparently a humble decent bloke off the field too
For those who didnt see him play, the closest player in comparison in later years was Dean Kemp.

Gee what is it with MFC?

They have a terrible run lately.

RIP , R Flower was the only bloke that kept MFC going for years, they made the finals right at the end, but now are back to shitsville.

Super footballer. Im sure I saw him recently on the Open Mike show on Foxtel. A very humble man, respected, admired etc. Great memories.

We always loose the good ones.
