It is great sadness that Bob Faulkingham has passed.

Bob was the Head Trainer at East Perth when I started back in 85'. He was a Swans and came to East Perth. He was a worker at the old WAGR workshop in Midland.

He was a HEAD TRAINER of the first order, he organised, taught, managed and had the respect of all players from Colts through to League. He did not have the luxury of a Physio in those days and worked with Dr Michael Holden (another great person) to make sure that players got treated correctly.

He taught me, George Law and others how to be a real trainer that did the job, did not spend the day making cakes, talking on the mobile and disappearing for hours on end.

He was hard man who expected nothing less than your best but was always quick to enjoy a laugh at the end of the day which in those days was 6 til'8 on match days and 5 til 8 on training days at Lotons

It is a sad bit of news and a shame that we don't have his ilk at the club now!
