Is this the first game back at Showground following the Fremantle Reserves team not wanting their players to play on the surface? Obviously the WAFL have given their stamp of approval that the surface is up to scratch?

Big game for our club after the first loss for the year big mental test to see how the team react to the loss. We were a bit like rabbitts in spotlights early last week, cannot afford to start in that manner this week against the Tigers. Selection will be interesting how will the coach and the selection panel react. Need a few of our players to have an impact this week. We will need to be at our best to beat the Tigers who have been in good form recently.

Ankle didn't come up. Higgins has to come in now for height.

I would like to see young Florenca make his debut. Has been in great form in the resies and deserves a call-up.

I reckon the Tiges will stitch you up this week but I can't tip against South for many reasons.

Does anyone know if the WAFL have made an inspection of the surface to see if it is up to scratch? With the prediction of wet weather for the next few days how will the surface hold up?

Onto the game Pullman will be a loss. I think that McPhail deserves an opportuntiy as he is like for like for Pullman.

Either Stewart or Florenca deserve their opportunity and with the predicted weather might be better options than more talls. Which might mean that Maskos or Gundry might be the two under the gun.
There are a few others that need to extract the digit this week and make a contribution for the team, we have had a far too many passengers in the past few weeks.
Very important fixture that will shape our year imo.

Thanks for putting the post back up Southerner.
That was a terrific win by the lads on the s##t heap home of the Tigers, Absolute disgrace of a facility for spectators and the ground surface is crap. If Hockey has done a knee the club should sue the CFC and the WAFL. A disgrace.
Onto the game. Saunders late out was huge, Higgins came in and was fantastic. The youngsters who came in this week were terrific McPhail for his first game and Stewart for his second game. Both had solid performances and did not out of place.
As I stated in another post that was a huge game in the context of our season as the Tiges had set themselves for a huge upset and threw the kitchen sink at us. There is still lots of improvement in this group in lots of areas , the pleasing thing is that they are still finding a way to get across the line.
The reserves were good again and continue to play good football. The colts were outclassed by a very slick Tigers team and never threatened unfortunately, back to the drawing board for lads.
