One wonders how such blatantly biased people like Dennis Shanahan (The Australian) and James Campbell (Herald Sun) can possibly be employed to report on politics given their blatant bias.

42 may one suggest you dont have to watch/read it....much like you yourself posted to those who did not agree with your biased political posts on here!

Absolutely beyond me why a hardliner commie like Swan would even come to pay the all evil Murdoch money to watch a channel he hates and spends all day bagging, then even better he watches FOX NEWS , Trumps cheer squad apparently and hates it ..yet pays to watch it.

He should stick to tax payer funded free socialists propaganda on the ABC and SBS.

Beyond Comical is our Swan42.

Because it gives our good friend Sean the ammunition he thinks he needs to come on here and post crap. If Sky was of a similar persuasion to Sean he'd watch something else that wasn't just to have something to bag....as we all know our 42 is the King of negativity.

Spot on BC, never mind Mr Murdoch is laughing counting Seans cash from his Sky Subs...

April /May Election BC - another strategic blunder SCO MO has given away the date meaning he has to fight it till then, remember when Gillard announced the date early..

You mean the DLP that's raison d'etre was to ensure the ALP never won government by directing their preferences to the Liberals? Just another example of the pure hypocrisy of the Liberal Party.

One would have thought that given the debacle on Saturday and the tenuous hold the Morrison government has one would have thought that the last thing that the Liberals would have done would be to show hubris in Kerryn Phelps's first day in parliament.

What sort of weird logic is that - the DLP were disaffected Labor people , caused by the mismanagement of Doc Evatt and internals of the ALP, nothing to do with the Libs, who they chose to direct preferences to was up to them as they felt they were a safer anti communist bet than the ALP and what on earth was hypocritical about the Liberals wanted to keep the ALP out of power and them in, its the whole friggen point.

The hypocrisy comes when acolytes of the RWNJs complain about Greens' preferences ging to the ALP.

Still not making sense - Since when has it been any surprise that the Greens/Labor left wing coalition has any plan but to keep Libs out of power?
Btw there were really only two elections in the 60s that the DLP kept the ALP out, and one was only because Calwell stuffed up the negations on the eve of the election, he would of been PM if not for that.

BC, I'm predicting a 20 seat plus wipe out, Porter Wyatt, and Dutton will all go and tbh I reckon Abbott is in strife in Warringah. Which wont be a bad thing and that's coming from someone who was a huge fan previously.

To be honest mate...I don't think the date actually matters as the Libs will get slaughtered at the next election whenever it is and quite rightly so in my opinion. They're a bloody shambles and no better than Labor during the Rudd-Gillard-Rudd fiasco. My hope too is that the likes of Dutton, Abbott et al get turfed out and a new Centre Right broom sweeps through. Two terms of Shorten should be enough I'd think to convince the voting public that the various factions within Labor are too self-interested, adversarial and disruptive by nature and the Libs are returned to run the show again.

Absolutely spot on BC, my thoughts as well.

Dutton will get a hiding in Dixon , hes on 0.9% margin, anyone on less than 5% might as well start packing up now.

We are going to have to endure 6 years of high taxing capital destroying hell under comrade Shorten for a return.

Agree mate, when they got rid of MT, they also got rid of about 2 Million in donations via him and Julie Bishop..

Lets see how much Abbott and Abetz can raise...

It would be a great shame if Australians were so gullible to hand over the reigns of a growing economy and a government delivering surpluses, a government that has restored its AAA credit rating to a mob of drongos with an appalling track record of wasting money.

Do we need to be reminded of the cash splash of the previous Labor government? Pink bats that resulted in a bunch of cowboys suddenly starting up home insulation businesses identifying an opportunity to make a fast buck from tax payers money and kill innocent young men in doing so?

Solar batteries will be the next pink bats fiasco if that little smurf gets in power. Someone send him some hemoroid cream because Scott Morrison is tearing him a new one and he just sits there like a little girl.

Labors questions in parliament are pathetic and shows how incapable they are to govern this country. The way Labor carried on in Victoria dancing and chanting "4 more years..... 4 more years...." was sickening.

The Prime Minister is spot on. Victoria re elected an incumbent government in a growing well performing economy but federal Labor is already celebrating seeing it somehow as a vote against the federal government.

Surely Australians are not that stupid and gullible to be able to separate state and federal performance?
