To be fair I think the weather has had a fair bit to do with attendances over the last few weeks.

What is the point of the bloody commission!!?? It has to be asked!
The outright and outright lies we've had to put up with from those tossers is bloody unbelievable!!!
How many more lies will there be!?

The WAFC did not even intervene when the WCE decided to play a home game on WA Day Monday, the one day the WAFL had left to itself. I mean it didn't work but you would have thought if ever they might have done something....

It is a very good point WAG. Given they have one comp to run and basically take no interest in it I wonder what they actually do. Let us just say WAFC disappeared tomorrow (and there was simply a body to whom the AFL licence fees came and it distributed them) -

- would kids still play footy? Umm yes, they have been doing so for a log time now.
- would there still be umpires? Umm yes there is an umpires association that I am sure would be quite happy to run its own show.
- would there still be a WAFL? Umm yes, we'd be fine.

Have I missed anything?

SS asked me to, so here is what I would like from the WAFC:

1. A new Boundary Review;
2. A full enquiry into and report on the equalisation of the WAFL competition.

Re 1. The last one was done in 2009 and said it should hold us all til 2021. It also rejected all arguments that there should be any relationship between zoning and the success of the league team of the WAFL club in the District. The WAFC said there was no link between enthusiasm for football in a District and the success or failure of the league team which represented that District.

The WAFC accepted that this means that clubs with lower socio-economic areas in their Districts would struggle but said, and I quote, "these issues are better accommodated through specific allocation of resources rather than making allowance for this factor through population concessions."

I would like the WAFC to:

(1) bring forward the review from 2021;
(2) reconsider their rejection of using zone boundaries to assist club performance and
(3) report on exactly what "specific allocation of resources" measure they have attempted and how they have gone since 2009.

Re 2 I would like them to go fully public on this and ask for input from supporters, clubs, players whoever. An equal competition has been a principle of the WAFC for well over a decade - it is now time for a full enquiry and report.

Fair?

Seems like some reasonable and practical suggestions there STT. The hard bit is getting anyone at the WAFC to take these on board and run with them when many people suspect that their hidden motivation is to make the WAFL an irrelevant competition so that the AFL can move in eventually.
