Be hard to imagine, pretty interesting stat that one.

I know Swans lost to everyone bar Subiaco in our 1984 premiership year. We ended up that year with 8 losses but still finished top!

mikeh: yep SD won 3-0 over the Lions, as you said. The closest we got was two or three goals on a wet day at Subi.

I thought maybe east perth may have done it 1978 but we didn't lose to subi or swans.Interesting stat was the last round where 24,000 saw the west perth v east perth game at Leederville and
23,900 saw the other three games.Not sure if any other home and away full round would would have one game with more attendees then the other three.

Not team in a 7,8 or 9 team league have lost to every team in a premiership season.

You need to go back to 1924 in a 6-team Competition Subiaco the premiers lost to all other 5 teams during the season, losing to EF and EP 2 times and Perth, SF and WP once each. East Perth in 1921 also lost to the other 5 teams.

Ric thanks great work. It sounds as if Subi was a bit lucky in 1924
chaddy: it is funny you should mention the Royals in 1978 -- in a game at Perth Oval against the Lions the score was tied 9.8 each at three quarter time before EP kicked on in the last quarter to win by 10 goals.
