With 3 Rounds left in the Perth Football League A Grade season, the top 5 is nearly set in stone (nearly as in 99.9%), with plenty of excitement on the make up of the top 5 to come as well. It might be an interesting battle this weekend as the relegation battle will reach an interesting peak in what has been a tough year for a few clubs. MrM cannot wait to see how it all unfolds; it will keep him interested for this early morning commute for a few weeks yet.

Off the field, the Ashes victory has given MrM new founded hope; his own cricket game can turn around this season and will be looking to wield the willow once more, (That is if the Registrar ever returns MrM emails). MrM is also looking for a ticket to the P.F.L Awards dinner.
If you would like the learned yet comedic styling’s of MrM on your table, contact him with your best offer, and he shall see what he can do to make sure the night is a success not only for you, but for the whole of the P.F.L community as well.

Let us look at this weekend’s fixtures and fill the void as no Ashes Test is on this weekend.

North Beach v Fremantle C.B.C @Charles Riley Reserve

In a game where both are vying for that top 3 finish and a double chance comes finals time, this will be a big one for both sides. North Beach scraped through last weekend by the barest of margins and will not want to be giving Freo C.B.C any chances like they did against Kingsway. Meanwhile Freo C.B.C knocked off the inform Uni and will have their sights set on another good win over a finals contender. I think they can do it too.
Fremantle C.B.C by 2 goals

Kingsley v Wembley @Kingsley Park MOTR

A game where both sides need to win to stay afloat to avoid that 9th spot on the ladder, with a few games this weekend worthy of the contender, it is this weekend’s Match Of The Round.
Kingsley looked quite good last weekend and they face another side struggling this season in a game where they can win and give themselves every chance to avoid the drop. Wembley on the other hand will have been looking at their next two weeks, thinking this is our best chance to avoid the drop as well. Should be a good hard fought fixture, and I think the Wombles will get it done.

Scarborough v Kingsway @Millington Reserve

Scarborough continue to plod along and do what they need to do as they chase back to back flags and they will not want to be resting up either. If they play to their absolute best game could be over at half time. Kingsway will be disappointed they let one slip last weekend, but know they can match it if they play 100 minutes of football. It’s also good to see they got a Colts side up, but failed to get a Thirds up, is something amiss at the club East of Wanneroo Road? Should be a lay down misère for the boys at “The Mill”

University v North Fremantle @UWA Sports Park

Uni lost a very close one last weekend and will wan tot rectify that as they look to finish in the top 3 and given themselves every hope of playing in a Grand Final this season. They will need to overcome a tricky North Fremantle outfit here though. North Freo have handled themselves very well this season being back in A Grade, and a win this weekend, guarantee finals, and give them hope as they look to do so. I think Uni may be too good here though.

Wanneroo v Trinity Aquinas @Wanneroo Showgrounds

Last time these two sides played Wanneroo got their solitary win for the season and MrM told you all it was going to happen, It was the high point for Wanneroo in an otherwise tough season, but with nearly half the League players this season 21 & under, future may be bright. TA’s season has never really got going, but they are still a chance for relegation and a chance for finals, which is a unique. It has happened before, so cant see why it won’t happen again.

Good luck this weekend all, may the beverages be cold and the chips be hot.

Thank you Got U Butler

Not an upset in my eyes, MrM could see what it meant for the Roos.
Obviously hasn't been a great season, but a lot of the youth played on the weekend should be proud of efforts.
2 games too go, why not two more wins?!
