With only 4 Round left of the Perth Football League A Grade season MrM is excited at all the possibilities that lay before us. It will be fascinating to see how the ladder unfolds over the next few weeks, with each game as important as the next. MrM is ever the optimist and is also looking forward to a strong finish to the season in regards to club canteens. MrM has been impressed this season, but can you still offer MrM some goodness? That is the big question.

MrM was also pleased with responses to his post last week and although MrM is not so sure that and Gary Buckenara can be replicated from the P.F.L to WAFL to AFL, those from the P.F.L playing in the WAFL for West Coast Eagles seem to be holding themselves in very good stead.

Starting tonight is the Ashes and MrM could not be happier, what will happen, who knows, but the excitement is palpable and we hope you are all excited as well. MrM can sense on the commute to work this morning, pundits are equally as excited.

Before tonight, let us look at this weekend.

Wembley v Scarborough @Pat Goodridge Reserve

A massive game for Wembley here as the relegation battle heats up and they can ill afford a big loss with percentage looking like it may also play a part, they may pose a threat to Scarborough but against a team looking like it is on path back to back, things could be hard. Scarborough is looking great, but let me ask a question…how did they lose a Reserves game last weekend? It should be easy as it comes for the boys from The Mill here.
Scarborough by 6 goals

North Fremantle v Trinity Aquinas @Gil Fraser Oval

After looking impressive for a good patch last weekend and they did enough to get over Wanneroo, this looms as a big season defining game for North Freo, a win and they can play finals, a loss an they leave the door slight ajar for TA’s to come in and swoop. TA’s went form relegation zone, to slim chance for finals. I cannot see them winning this weekend here though, North Freo are looking the goods.
North Fremantle by 3 goals

Kingsway v North Beach @Kingsway Reserve

What is happening at Kingsway? Things have fallen off after looking like they may play finals and it doesn’t get any easier for them here, although they are still a chance. They are facing a North Beach side gearing up for another finals campaign though. North Beach had a good win last weekend and will be ready for one more MrM thinks. MrM would also like to point out an A Grade club forfeiting Colts is a big shock and remember this club being very irate when it happened in the past to a few former A Grade clubs…saying they could do better. How the tables turn quickly.
North Beach by 6 goals

Fremantle C.B.C v University @Morris Buzzacott Reserve MOTR

With both clubs battling for the top 3 and even a finish in second spot, it is a big game here, which it is why it is this weekends Match Of The Round.

Freo C.B.C are sliding as of late and the question is can they stop that his weekend and get back to the form that saw them defeat Scarborough. It is a big game here, as a loss and it could see them sitting outside the top 3. University is a side on the rise, and looking for another run at the finals. It should be a good game here, but perhaps in slippery conditions Freo C.B.C bigger bodies to get it done.
Fremantle C.B.C by 2 goals

Kingsley v Wanneroo @Kingsley Park

Kingsley will be desperate for a win here as they face the prospect of relegation with the next tow weeks very pivotal for them. They do have a good chance for a win here though as they face a young Wanneroo side that is looking for another before the end of the season. Wanneroo were good for patches last weekend against a very good side, and know if they bring 200 minutes of football, anything can happen. If Wanneroo get on a roll, they can even avoid the relegation. MrM thinks anything can happen.
Wanneroo by 2 goals

Good luck to all this weekend.

Great write up as always MrM, will heed the advice of your previous post and try and get the A grade threads more active!

Scarbs to account for Wembley to the tune of 8 goals. The vast expanses of the Mill and talent in the Scarborough 22 might prove too much for the Pies, even with the desperation of a relegation battle fuelling them.

TA’s to continue their late season winning streak and beat North Freo by 3 goals. A big game and a NF win seals the door shut on the top 5, but TA will be looking to keep it open.

Calling it Kingsway by 1 goal over Beach in an upset. Kingsway fallen off a bit in the last couple of weeks but I suspect they’ll see this one as one they can set themselves for and pinch.

Uni to topple CBC by 3 kicks. Seems that CBC are stuttering somewhat, and Uni seem to be gathering momentum at the right time. A big big game to decide the makeup of finals, and I think Uni’s run and fun, out the back style of play can win it for them.

Wanneroo to set themselves to claim at least one more scalp for 2019 and they’ll see Kingsley as the perfect opponents to achieve that against. Expecting a hard fought game and a close result regardless as Kingsley are well in the relegation conversation and will see this as winnable also.

Good luck to all clubs!

Wembley vs Scarborough

Scarborough should get an easy win over a Wembley side hoping not to get belted. Scarborough by 45

North Fremantle vs Trinity Aquinas
A big chance for North to seal the top 5 shut over a Trinity side who will avoid relegation after last weeks upset. Can they do 2 in a row. For the comps sake i hope so but North by 8 points in a great game of footy.

Kingsway vs North Beach
Kingsway were bad last week and North Beach were good and I see that continuing. The Beach by 4 goals

CBC vs University MOTR
A massive game the winner should finish 2nd and get the home final loser has to stave off Beach for the Double chance. University are arguably the form side of the comp atm where CBC have been inconsistent so ill go Uni by 3 goals.

Kingsley vs Wanneroo
Kingsley with a must win game against the b Grade bound Wanneroo with maybe their last serious chance of a win this year. I think this will be close but too much on the line for Kingsley to slip up at home. Kingsley by 17 points.
