Our last home game for the year this weekend.
The last time we played them down there it was one of our poorer performances in a very disappointing year so not really expecting much this time around again and you never know who is going to be playing for this mob with all the changes at their League team Fremantle week after week.

I do have some hopes for this game BH. Firstly it may be a farewell game for David Ellard as the coach has indicated that he may not be able to play on due to his injuries. Also it is the last home game of the season and the players would hopefully be motivated to put in a performance like they did against the Eagles a few weeks ago to give the members some energy to re- sign for 2020. Finally Peel's season is pretty much shot so they may not be going at full bore.
We'll see what happens.

I think Swans will get the job done. They played better in the second half of last weeks match. Unlike other teams Swans Home ground advantage is currently in the negative, so they are giving away points even before the game starts. If they can get it together, the forward line should be ok. The defensive half will be the area of concern as it's not the best. The weather conditions currently looking like rain showers being forecast. Hoping Swans can give themselves and the home crowd a win.

Every chance to grab four points here
and there would be at least 2 other sides hoping Swans do just that

We can only hope Mike & Southy but I think Peelmantle have more to play for and Cam will have them primed yet again.
Changes from the Subi game will be Fullgrabbe who injured his quad early in the match and possibly young Bright going back to Colts footy after a handful of promising League games.

Woo Hoo :)
Well done to Swan Districts in todays match. A bit of a low scoring match apparently but fantastic to see them get the job done.

All I can say is thank goodness for Tony Notte ignoring the instructions of the runner.
With less than 4 mins to play and behind by 8 points the brains trust at Swans decide that the way to win is do as we did all day and make sure we have 18 players in Peelmantles half of the ground.
So when Dylan Smith and Nathan Ireland dared to to remain in the forward line out comes the runner and directs all players to go into the back half.
Notte ignores the instructions and yells at Ireland to go into our 50m arc.
Swans created a turnover and belt the ball forward to our sole representative Ireland who battles and scrambles a goal.
Back to the Middle and we go forward again with Notte then scrambling a goal and presto we win by 4 points.
At least Tony knows the idea of the game is to score.

Thank heavens he ignored the runner. That's all I can say.
To have all 18 players in the oppositions forward half is a bit counter-productive in my view. Apparently the match being a close affair throughout. Apparently only a goal or two difference at half time and three quarter time.
