Memo to our fabulous recruiters.
If the beating drums are correct and Harley Bennell isn''t going to be offered a new contract at Freo, you need to get in quick.
Make sure we offer him non refundable funds up front, Massive match payments, guaranteed rehab work and also work on his dodgy legs and a spot in the team even if he never takes to the field.
But lets act quickly, these bargains don't come around everyday. lets beat the rush.

Seriously I hope Harley gets another opportunity but not at Swans. His dodgy calf might have the final say anyhow.

I know you are being sarcastic RSWMAN but it isn't such a stupid idea to get him out of the system that has fucked him up (the same ppl keep doing the same things and getting the same failure as a result) I would put my hand up to rehab him and have my own ideas on what might have a better result than the so called experts that work in elite teams like this. I feel really sorry for him to be washed up at 27 with his supreme talent.
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

Maybe pump another hundred grand into EP’s coffers for trash if we are being sarcastic. Seriously though the Palmer injury hurt you in the spot you couldn’t cover it.

Royal, please don't encourage our people to send you more transfer money for players who would struggle in the Perth Football league (formerly Amateurs)

You could worse than pursue him, the first thing I would do is put a lock n the weights room.

He played his best football when he did not carry the bulk that the suns put on him, he isn't meant to be a bull he is a greyhound so let him be! His rehab should be just a walking programme into running and agility, A pre season of kicking, marking and hand passing would get him to where he should be!

I sometimes reckon the sports scientist fraternity cannot see anything but what the want and the afl is littered with young men who get injuries from structural changes to their bodies that their bodies cannot deal with!
We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so stupid people won't be offended

Recruiting but of a different kind.
I have put together a list of all the players from SD (or from our zone) who we have let go to other clubs during this decade below.
You wonder if those still playing in the WAFL would be handy for the current bottom of the ladder SD.
I have only really included the current players and or those who had an impact after leaving SD-

CL- Zac Langdon (Dampier/Guildford Grammar) now at GWS
EF- Sean Fletcher, Blaine Boekhorst, Harry Creasey
EP- Jayden Magro, Mahli King
PE- Brent Latch, Jacob Coniglio, Michael Bennell, Guy Langdon, Brett Wolfenden
PT- Brayden Lawler, Ryan Bennell, Marlon Motlop
SF- Josh Pullman, Marlion Pickett
SU- Wade Twomey, Brett Robinson, Ray Daniels, Dylan Nelson,
WP- Marcus Adams, (now at Bris via Foots), Rudy Riddoch, Steve Potente, Troy Yukich,
WCER- Andrew Fisher

Apologies if I missed any players but a fair bit of talent has left Basso in this decade.
How and why it has been allowed to occur considering our current predicament is a question I and many other SD supporters would like answered?!?!

People complain about our recruiting and then we have suggestions that Harley Bennell should be brough to go the club, can not be serious! Our recent history with indigenous talent coming to or back to the club has been poor to say the least! Yarran,Newman,Garlett,Eades,Simpson none of which have been a success and far from it really. Harlee Bennel would just add to that ever growing long list. Sad for a club that had some amazing indigenous talent at the club in yesteryears.
