Your suffering from losing too much experience Mike, like us your team needs the weight room and running track. Big Tony I believe is doing ok.

Great to hear that Tony Olongo is doing OK. No matter how much experience you lack, you can always have a dip and only your team did that today. Thats why I am so disappointed and I now think the club should look elsewhere for a coach in 2020.

Pathetic that the reserves did not play before the League!

Yeah really really disrespectful. You can’t have grown men getting up at 6am to play footy, that is for kids. This should not happen again.

To only kick one goal after half time is Piss Poor. Though I don't know how we expected to kick goals when you have all teh forwards running up the ground.
When we do get the ball the only people to kick the ball to are all running backwards with their hands in the air so their team mates can see them, u/10's stuff.
Ajang Ajang was terrific, his aggression and marking presence around the ground unnerved our bigger blokes.
Who ever instructs us to not clear the ball from the backline and try and chip across the goals, sack him now,. Why when the opposition has only kicked a couple of goals do we decide let the other team in by gifting them goals by kicking the ball better to opposition forwards than they do.
All in all another poor coaching and playing performance.

9 inside 50’s in the 2nd half
I too hope that Olango is going to be ok. It was as bad as I have seen at a WAFL game, he went like Phil Hughes after he copped a blow to the neck. .

It’s more than that! It’s taking away the meaning of a SENIOR football club where the fabric is built on mate-ship,comraderie,getting down and supporting the ressies and in tern the ressies hanging around to watch the League. By putting the women in the middle it flirts with al of that. Not to mention disillusioning the supporter base who for years have come to watch, support and follow each of the 3 men’s teams. It’s absolutely disgusting a blight on the club! Women have done a great job in a short space of time but their place is not to evolve into the pre cursor or the main event!

I read with interest during the week of the Presidents plea to members and supporters. It sounded ok at first but then I quickly realized that there was no end goal to all of this repeated youth /home grown policy. No wonder we have results like today when we don’t have a defined period of time that we hope this course to a Pierre is contender should take. This team we are currently putting out would be the worst in our history! It would have to be the worst 50 players on a WAFL list I’ve ever seen.We are gifting games to youngsters who clearly aren’t ready and are non deserving! We are playing guys who are over the hill. Not even in Harding’s year when we won 2 games were we this bereft of talent and quality senior players. And the mind boggled today when I saw a guy who could give leadership and guaranteed effort dropped to the reserves in Blakey. Pickering surely can’t go on next year but there may need to be some extra shuffling of the decks.

On another note.... what has happened to the planned redevelopment of the oval that was ticked off on 3 or so years ago? LandCorp were partners?

I think that fell over because funding was withdrawn, may be wrong. Totally agree with your comments about the footy side. Even in 2016 I could see some light at the end of the tunnel but not this year. The presidents words were hollow, we have just about lost our footy club and turned into a social club.

At the start of the year I thought swans losing so many to retirement, and very little recruiting would leave them in the bottom three.Having three experienced players come back from injury today made the difference for us.The difference between swannies supporters and royals this year is that swannies supporters expected more and royals supporters expected very little.you may have a couple of hard years but you need to hang tough and develop your colts..

There has never been a worse side in the 134 years of the WAFL than the current SDFC side!
And Pickering would have to have just about the worst coaching record in WAFL history now surely?
What are we now 2 wins from our last 20 odd games or something similarly inept....and yet you can bet your bottom dollar the piss weak excuses emanating out of the club will not cease...time for actions not meaningless piss weak excuses!!
I have not seen even 1% improvement since the start of the year in fact we are going backwards at a rate of knots whilst the decline over the last 5 or 6 years on the park has been nothing short of a disgrace and those directly responsible need to be held to account immediately!
