Unfortunately didn't take our chances in the big moments and the falcons did.On the bright side we have improved as the year has gone on.I was worried about how many of the reserves guys would be able to step up to league footy but have been pleasantly surprised in the improvement as the year has gone.Eddie Simpson has been a bonus and upgrade on Busher.The ressies have had two come behind wins to keep them in the hunt for the finals.Noticed cox had 16 touches and am looking forward to his league debut.Colts winning puts them virtually in the finals.one win and I don't think they can be replaced.i suspect most of us are happy with the way the year has turned out.with a few back in the next few weeks hopefully can steal a couple of more wins.Beating the sharks should assure us of at least avoiding dropping a position on the ladder.

The league game, was of a high quality all day, just a few inexperienced moments there the trigger wasn’t pulled, cost us late, blooding a lot of good players, future looks bright.

A annoying thing for me was that we were given a kick about 50 metres from goal when the kick was reversed and ameduri was reported and the kick reversed.Today we find the report was thrown out.A frivolous report apparently.Also in another passage we kicked a goal and gave a free kick before the bounce in the centre square.We have to play smarter.We have lost two games by a goal.

I can't believe Im saying this but Barnard is the best coach in the WAFL and will only improve I reckon. Valentine is a gooden too

I think that we have both chosen well but being a bit wary I will wait for the 2nd year in case there is bit of the proverbial blues!

After the alignment the board needed to pick not only a coach to try to mend the wounds but also be prepared to do the hard yards in rebuilding the list.So far he has done a brilliant job.i have been very impressed when hearing him after games win or loss.he has trtied to make the players accessable unlike the alignment era .hopefully the league side finishes the year strongly.The colts look like making the finals and the ressies should hopefully as well.All barney wanted was us to be a competitive team and for the most part that has happened..

The list was not as bad as people think, what we lack is experience. What Barnard has is EPFC as his main priority. His style is harsh and uncompromising those that don’t quit should improve. We have money to recruit quality if and when we are capable of competing for a flag.

Yes i agree with all the comments regarding Barney which only reiterates what ive been saying all along.There was no more happier supporter than myself when i learnt of Barney's appointment last year as i knew at the very least,he would restore passion pride and competitiveness back into the Royals jumper.I wasn't particularly enthused about the league potential of last years beaten grand final reserves squad,where i saw Subi's overweight Adam Cockie dominate the GF,and other than Dobbo,AJ,Cahill and Wright the rest of the squad looked well short of league level,but Barney has managed to fast track the development of players like Waite,Rudrum,Wilcocks and Young who look the best batch of youngsters we've had for a very long time and theyr'e all improving in leaps and bounds and once we get 50 games into these players we will be very hard to stop.

Agree RL, a lot of these boys played in the Colts GF 2016 and the Res GF 2018. Potentially a very good side in the making coming through. Get a key tall and back for next year, the future is looking bright.
