I'm not sure if we'll get Aaron Heal back...probably another week you'd think and Ben Newton had his hand in a splint last Saturday so he's no chance. I thought all the young blokes stepped up well last weekend against WCER and hopefully will do the same again this week. A short turn around is not ideal but it's the same for Perth and shouldn't benefit either side. Perth have shown they can go with the best and have a terrific midfield but seem to have lapses in concentration and effort at critical times. Hopefully we can get the job done and think we'll win by about 20 points.

I’m mostly just interested in STT’s ramblings on the game

Thursday night games may well rate well....good for channel 7 but lousy for the home club. It bites hugely into club revenue.
Not good for players. Too cold for us seniors to go and stand out there all night.
I'll stay home in the warm like most others and watch the cricket.

Interesting bit of trivia about these 2 clubs. They have played each other 339 times each with 170 wins and 169 losses, so it's taken until this year for Subi to even up the ledger, just shows how dominant Perth were over us up until the naughty's.

Aaron Heal back in which is a bit of a bonus. Still going with Dela in the ruck and Ryan Vermeersch to add a bit of height and an extra goal kicking option.

Must be about 10 players missing from last years Premiership team. A year is a long time in WAFL footy. Kudos to the new coach for giving young guys opportunities and integrating them into the team.

Yes agree Singha. Off the top of my head there's Zac Clarke, Phelan, Deluca, Halligan, Wheeler, Kennedy, Powell and Fimmano missing...so yes, this group is doing pretty well.

On another note...here's our latest injury report on key players. I'd say Newton won't be available until about week 2 or 3 of the finals which is a bugger.

Benjamin NEWTON Wrist 5-6 Weeks
Hayden KENNEDY Shoulder 1-2 Weeks
Kyle HALLIGAN Knee Indefinite
Braden FIMMANO Shoulder 1-2 Weeks
Joel LATHAM Knee 3-4 Weeks
Rowen POWELL Groin 1-2 Weeks

Good question DG...I'm not sure about Hoskins as I thought he was only going to be missing for a week or two. Clanger is gone for a while I think and someone mentioned he may have played his last game but that's just a guess from memory.
