Ted, all fair points and I will be surprised and disappointed if the club goes on a recruiting spree next year given we have managed to blood a number of very good local juniors who have come up through the successful colts and reserves programmes. I dont see any need to recruit backs forwards or mids, the only area we are struggling to bring someone through with is a good mobile tap ruckman. Plus while the club has plenty in the bank, the club has made 2 substantial trading losses the last 2 years so I think you will see a much more conservative approach to recruiting than in the past and more focus on the quality local lads that are coming through at the moment.
It's likely that Clang has played his last game, but I'm hoping Horse will stay on another year and mentor the young mids coming through. Dela & Kitch, will be around for a few more years and will be so valuable as mentors same at Horse. Horse will end up coaching for sure, whether he stays at Subi or goes outside like Schoey did remains to be seen but a year or two as an assist under a good coach like Harris or Billy will see him as a very sought after commodity.
