LOL BC. More needless worry. All four guys you mentioned are playing and Subiaco are towelling them up like they have towelled everybody up for the last 3 years.

Well...what about that??? Firstly, I'll extract my foot out of my mouth to say they were outstanding. A proper reaming of a team choc full of full time AFL players such as Logue, Colyer, McCarthy, Ballantyne, Giro, Nyhuis, Bennell, Crowden and so on. A superb team effort led by Kitchen, Horsley, Litherland, Heal. Sokol, Marsh, Walters just to name a few. Greg Clark was huge with 28 disposals and being just tough and hard at the footy and the opposition. He's been in our best 22 for a few years now and we forget he's still only 22. The amount of pressure our guys applied on the ball carrier was first class and our foot and hand skills were just brilliant. We also matched the run of the full time professionals and by half way through the last you could see our guys take their foot off the gas. A special mention to Craig Hoskins who shut Bennell down after qtr time. Bennell had it 12 times in the first quarter and only 11 more after that with Hoskins reducing the effectiveness with a great tagging display. Good to see Halligan play ressies although I don't think he finished it off and also good to see Scotty Hancock doing the runners job for the league....maybe a come back on the way. A great day down at the Chunderdome.

They are called AFL players, but do they play like it? Seriously! Most of them are average at best.

Fair point Roman but they're on an AFL list so someone thinks they are. Plus you have Colyer recruited this year from another AFL club, McCarthy in line to take over from an underperforming Brennan Cox, Logue possibly to take Alex Pearce's place if he doesn't come up, Ballantyne's door is not completely shut if you listen to Ross Lyon, Crowden played a fair bit of seniors at the start of the season as did Bailey Banfield..Nyhuis has seen top level action at various times...so they're not all spuds.

Just had a look at the stats and what a warrior Horsley is...28 possessions, 10 tackles the most of anyone on the ground and 11 inside 50's...that's just under a quarter of the teams total I50's....unbelievable that he's still doing this at 31...a true WAFL champion.

Good win that, as BC said our use of the ball and pressure was outstanding. Good to see Joyce had a good game in the maggo's in his first game back from injury, a handy replacement for Deluca. Not sure why Martin left considering the timing of Mayo's departure. What are your thoughts on Max Dennis BC? Buddy Boy you were spot on as usual, Deluca didn't play this week, apologies.

He is one $ubi player that I would not have a bad word to say about.

DG...there's a fair bit of upside with Dennis given he's only 19 and with a lot of growing to do weight wise but he's a long way behind Sokol, Waters, Halligan and co as that medium sized forward. He kicked 4 goals yesterday so is putting his hand up and doing all the right things but I think it could be some time before he gets a crack at the seniors.

Couldn't make it to shared needle park bad case of the lurge but sounds like the boys put on a good consistent showing and your comment that the skills were much improved is encouraging. Been watching Clark closely this year and he really has taken a big step up, playing with confidence and aggression, he is the extra mid we need to cover Deluca, different sort of mid but does it both inside and out and is hitting the scoreboard. two big scalps in a row for Hoskins, must be close to the best run with player going around, pretty sure he will get Jones next week, if you can keep him to around 20 touches it will go a long way to rolling the D's. Looking forward to that game although the forecast is for a real stormy winters day so a simple game plan is needed and our bigger more experience mids should hold sway in those conditions.

All good comments SS. The game was very fast and furious and I thought we might run out of legs towards the end given they had 15 full time pros on the park but to our boys credit they were still going strong at the end. The sheer gut running of Kitch, Horse, Gus Litherland, Kennedy and big Sutherland was still putting in the hard yards in the last quarter even though he was up against 2 bigger bodies in Jones and Meek. It was a very, very impressive performance by Subi.
