I'm starting to wonder if Swan42 will come back 58shark. He hasnt logged in to the site for nearly 6 weeks and he was pretty disillusioned about the WAFL last year. Pity, no matter what you think of his views you couldn't deny he was passionate about them.

We now import 12,000 cars a month here. That we use to build here
12,000 cars by $35,000 per car =420,000,000 a month.
420,000,000 by 12 months =$5,040,000,000 .5 Billion to our balance of payments debt every year.
On Tony Abbots thinking we all be in horse+cart.Every country finances + protects there car industry apart from Australia.

My late grandfather worked most of his life in the Holden factory in Mosman Park, now the site of Iona girls school. And their rivals Ford were up the road in North Freo which later became Redback Brewery. Different times.
And yet negative gearing property tax breaks cost the taxpayer something like 10 BILLION a year
McGowan and Wyatt doing an admirable job so far of what was always going to be a huge task I reckon. Certainly better than anything the oppositions got, which is threadbare.

Mate those factories operated under massive tariff protections, not only that but the government thru money at them as well, so they were subsidised and protected by both the public and gov. which was why it cost an arm and a leg for a car back in the 60s, that was also mass production from countries like Korea, the international car industry has changed massively since then , There is no way those factories would be viable today, people just don't buy those vehicles anymore , Australia has one of the most diverse car markets in the world , take a look around next time you are out and see how many holdens and fords are now out there compared to 1980.

As for Mc Gown , what good job??, when he took over debt was 31 Billion , and now its 37 Billion and that's after smashing households with increased charges, as well as that unemployment is through the roof. he's been gifted a better GST deal and Iron Ore Royalties., previous gov would have cleaned the slate with those.

No he wasn’t gtr, but he was an Old Easts supporter so that used to count against him.

That Forrestfield airport link rail tunnel is proving to be a disaster and is holding up the rest of the McGowan governments Metronet plans. It was one of many thought bubbles by the previous govt on public transport. The whole Perth Airport saga is a joke and the government needs to get involved. I piss myself laughing everytime I see Perth Airport rated the best in Australia. You've got to be fucking kidding me. I've never seen an airport with such a pathetic pick up and drop off system. Totally inadequate and a joke.

And they demand Qantas and Jetstar move to T1 by 2025. Lol. The older t3/t4 airport system is superior. Our airport is an embarrassment.
F*#k me Bill Shortarse is just down the road at Midland Tafe. Might have to get the dirt bike out and terrorise him. See what answers he's got for crime in Midland. Lol
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.
