I think 80% of Fremantle supporters have drawn a line through Ross Lyon as the man to take us to a Premiership. So who do we target? Do we just get the best available or do we get someone with a Fremantle identity? I heard Percy Johnson this morning say Fremantle should try and poach Jamie Graham from the Eagles, was an ex WC player of course but is an ex South Freo player. Percy wasn't suggesting as a senior coach but start getting Fremantle people back into Fremantle was his point.

Then there is Justin Longmuir who I think is a Collingwood assistant currently and the big names that must be considered I think are Peter Sumich and John Worsfold. I know what some will say, no thanks but both these blokes have the runs on the board as players and coaches and they are Fremantle through and through. The other one I would seriously consider is Don Pyke, though he seems to have turned Adelaide around for now. Same goes for Woosha but a big Melbourne club like Essendon having an ex WCE captain coaching them doesn't sit well with a lot of people in the Melbourne fraternity though I noticed Mathew Lloyd on the Sunday Footy show digesting apple pie when asked if he thinks Essendon should still sack John Worsfold at the end of the year? He said no not after winning 4 of the last 5 I would keep him on. Lol good onya Lloydy.

Could we, should we be talking to Jarrod Schofield? I know he's moved to Port Adelaide where he is an assistant only in his first year and his son is in their under age academy but he ran Subi like an AFL club and has far more experience in charge of his own team than most assistant coaches.

Then there are candidates from other states including a few who have already been sacked such as Brett Ratten (who i think was hard done by), Michael Voss and recently sacked Brad Scott. Enough for now, I've got the ball rolling.

DD it is not only Lloyd who has had to eat humble pie in regards to Worsfold of late that weak kent Robbo on afl 360 has been calling for Wooshas head all year, Worsfold was on the show tonight and that Robinson sucked up to him like a schoolgirl.

On the Dockers if NM are so keen on Longmire surely Rhys Shaw has to be looked at with their turnaround since Brad Scott bit the dust?!

Heres a long shot but he was an assistant coach at the Dockers from 2013 -15 and is now the midfield coach at Sydney Swans. Brett Kirk.

Yeah BH Robbo is a cockhead and mad Essendon supporter. Gerard Whately would be the only person in the media that can tolerate Robbo’s finger waving in his co hosts face every time he talks.

Gtr I reckon it might have been Schofield that came up with the crazy tactics that undid the Eagles at Optus earlier in the season. That was genius coaching whoever came up with that plan. Ross wouldn’t be capable of thinking outside the box like that. He would just play 18 players behind the ball.

I have been banging on about it for years, the only way freo will finally get an ounce of respect is to bring in worsfold. Forget, schoey and all the untried coaches, they will fail with the various egos in the playing group and lack of leadership.

Freos list is not that bad, it will be attractive for a coach. Sean Darcy needs to play every week.

Essendon should have an extra four points and be in the 8 but the umpire against Sydney that night chose to not umpire to the rule book, and with the injuries they’ve had I can’t believe Worsfold is under pressure. Imagine the pressure he’d be under if he was coaching Fremantle and not going great, the supporters would turn on him straight away being an Eagles legend.
If Fremantle did want to get rid of Lyon it would be easiest if a vacant club wanted Lyon next year and to therefore take over the last year of his lucrative contract.
Longmuir will be next coach.

For those inclined, here's a link to a change.org petition online to get Lyon sacked.

Yep...a couple of blokes I work with have received it separately by email DD so it's doing the rounds. It probably won't have any affect but at least it will put the Freo hierarchy on notice that the club faithful aren't happy and won't sit on their hands any longer.
