Can't overstate how important this game is. WP are likely to beat SD, and EF should knock off WCE. If so, and we lose to Peel, we will be only 1 game up on WP and 2 on EF. The forecast is concerning because the notion that we are a good wet weather team was belied against Subi. Our skills were deplorable. Once the rain came, we fumbled constantly. Subi were able to link up with short passes and marks, even into the wind with driving rain, while we just went long to the boundary every time. Anyway, we have to make 2 changes for Bell and Byrne. With the forecast rain I think we need to go with a smaller line up, so I would also drop M Jones and Hill. In would come Burke, Henderson, Bennell and Bryan. Leggett has to play midfield rather than down back.

I forgot to mention the obvious: that if we lose to Peel we will also only be two games ahead of Peel themselves.

I wonder if that is enough incentive.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.

Massive game for Perth and Peel- given they also play again before seasons end.

I'm not sure EF knock off WCE- the Toast are likely to have their best side in all season

And more wet weather footy tipped for this weekend too is the forecasted weather.
A win here for the Home team would be fantastic as their next two games are on the road.
Have noticed Perths efficiency level has dropped recently. Has gone down about 43 over the past 5 or 6 weeks which would be a concern.
Since the third week of fixtures, the Demons have seen their percentage also falling by just over 29%.
Having said that. Perth should have the 4 points in the bank come 5 o'clock by about 3 goals.
They should be refreshed after the bye

Couldn't agree more Ted. But let's not lose sight that we've got 6 on the board already and probably need 3 more to secure a euphoria erupting finals berth.

No Byrner worries me. Josh Burke for sure, Micky Bennell and Sam Garstone also in. This pox mob's form has been bitch and moan for a half then get serious. We need to hit the scoreboard early and more often.

Our form after byes has been poor. Let's hope we come to play this one because this could set us up nicely for the last 8.

Puzzled by team selection. No Burke. Bennell in the reserves again. Coniglio concerns me. Why does a guy who can't crack a league game at SD come into selection contention after just one modest reserves game for us? Hill and M Jones in starting line. I hope there is some room to make changes if it does look like the rain will set in during the afternoon. I can just about live with Jones and Hill in the dry but they are totally ineffectual in the wet.

Goodbye 2019 season. It was fun for a little while there. Six wins might just be enough to snare another wooden spoon.
