plus both games are televised on 7 which may impact on attendances but will increase overall exposure.

It was never a matter of "people won't turn up on Sunday". The point is that it's likely you'd get the same numbers if both games were played Saturday. And it seems rather odd that given the WAFL reduced the season due to costs it opts for a Sunday fixture which no doubt has penalty rates, etc. Be interesting to know if C as hosts had any choice in the matter and what that choice would be. Numbers at any game are determined by a number of factors including matchup and what's at stake. While playing games on two days does give the opportunity to go to both and there may be a few who would consider it, both games are on TV so that's likely to be diluted. The TV exposure is good and while it's probably the same people that'll be watching, it's still good to have it. As for Father's Day, WAFL is a family friendly activity but if there was no fixture there'd be other options.

Anyway, go Royals in the ressies and league!

It was played on both days last year as well and the Sunday game (also Fathers Day) SD vs WP nearly doubled the attendance of the other clash despite also being televised live!

That’s not right. There was a bigger crowd on the Sunday but no where near double.

Don't let facts get in the way of bogan bullshit RD....according to the WAFL website there was 3493 at the qualifying final last year as opposed to 4816 at the elimination.

Oh really? Well according to waflfootyfacts who are far more on the ball than the WAFC and their rubbery figures that change midweek all the time it was 5637 at the SD VS WP match which to anyone at the game is far closer to the mark!

Yeah its a strange discrepancy as I thought Ric just took the attendance numbers from the WAFL site. Would have to ask him I guess.

whatever....back to the topic...I just hope the Tiges win this one so there's no aligned clubs in the mix.

No surprise to see BC not question the WAFC rubbery figures considering they were $ubi major sponsor for 15 years!
