I'm sorry to say DD given I follow Freo that if I were Kelly there'd be no way I'd go to there given the way the club has spiralled out of control over the last couple of years. Coach and CEO sacked, declining memberships, players like Hill x 2, Langdon and possibly Ryan all wanting to jump ship....footy department in chaos mode...it'd be a successful and stable club like WCE or nothing if I was him.

Agree, one from left field might be if Gaff feels less guilty about leaving the Eagles than he did last year? He might request a trade back home after finals and that could net the Eagles the picks they need to satisfy Geelong.

But that’s the whole reason they sacked the coach and CEO BC. To clear the air and bring in new blood.

True DD...but any tangible differences will take time and you'd think a player like Kelly would want an immediate shot at a flag, stability and certainty which he won't get at Freo for a while.

Seems like he has to chose between dough and a shot at a flag. Freo has the dough and Eagles look to be his best chance at a flag at this point. There could also be another point for him to consider. He’ll probably get more money down at the dark side while a player like him may help them advance pretty quickly. I think Gaff will go, so that will give the Eagles a bit of wiggle room.
