Well well well they are falling down like flies after copping a dose of Mortien. What a shambles how is this suddenly happening when we have never heard of this occurring in the past? I wonder how many past pollies, possibly a Prime Minister or two have held dual citizenship but never knew it or failed to disclose it?
Could be a silver lining. Surely that strips them of their super and pension entitlements? Will centrelink go after them? Hahaha how silly of me.

Some differences , the two Greens were BORN overseas and where Citizens by Birth they never renounced. the HCA has determined in the past their status was clearly invalid.

Barnaby is eligible for citizenship be DECENT, as would many many others as you say over the years, the HCA has never ruled on those you are elible by decent and have never applied or renounced said eligibility, The NZ High Commission has stated that Joyce MAY be a citizen be decent , not IS a citizen, that's a big legal difference. Hence the Commonwealth Solicitors advise that Joyce is not affected by the Constitutional invalidity. in any case it will be up to the HCA to decide.

Yes I think it's kind of ridiculous Barnaby is as true blue as they come. Commonsense should prevail but we are talking about politics here and if Labor can seize an advantage here they will go for it but if they do they better expect the karma bus is not far behind them.

the High Court should rule that people entitlled to foreign passports by descent are excluded from the law unless they actually take out that passport; I would definitely apply this to the Crown Commonwealth.

He was born in Tamworth and his mums family are 5 th Generation I think, his dad has been here since 1946 ( Born in NZ) which btw predates when Australian Citizenship even existed everyone was a British Subject prior to 1947.

Baz: as we agreed previously, he should be okay having been born to British subjects in Australia before a certain date. He is an Australian full stop. It is just a witch -hunt and that applies to the Green seanators hit by this as well. If they came here before 1986, they should be able to sit in parliament as a British subjects.

The guy with Italian citizenship has a big problem.

yep that is why the witch hunt should stop. When your questioning people with a background, such as, Joyce, your makikg the country a laughing stock. As you pointted out Baz, under the law in 1947, he is an Australian because his father was NZ/British, the fact that his Mum was born here and he was born here are other factors in the man's favour.
