As you said Baz, Shaq O'neil WTF.
So Albo couldn't find a high profile indigenous person to be the face of the "voice" campaign? We dont have any high profile First nations Pollies, sports people or civil right types? No we get a multi millionaire former US basketballer who would demand a shedload of of appearance money to do the job and in the process, alienate the people this Voice thing is trying to support.
Mindboggling.

Yes, I understand the basic premise behind the Voice concept and what it's trying to achieve but to single out one section of the community and place them ahead of everyone else particularly by amending the Constitution is fraught with danger in my opinion. I'd like to understand how it's going to work before making my mind up but at this stage, I'll be voting NO based on what I know now.

Why is a yank interferring in Australian politics, full stop? He has increased the prospect of a 'no vote'. Obama did exactly the same thing during brexit.

I think Robodebt is the interesting one, especially as they are "Going after anyone who was involved in the concept." Sco Mo was minister of social services then so he was one of the key decision makers in the implementation of Robodebt when it kicked off

Just what we need a Yank telling us what to do with our Constitution, coming from a country who;s constitution gives them a tonne of issues where as ours is pretty smooth sailing for 100 plus years.

I was puzzled by this decision as well. This Ex basketball player gets paid a truckload of money to promote on-line gambling which is the cause of so many problems in society and his ads are endlessly promoted to kids during sporting events,  Obviously this is an issue for the whole of the country but I'm sure it is something that undermines indigenous communities as well.
If you want a high profile sports person to join the discussion, how about someone Australian like Patty Mills who plays in the NBA?
