Agree A/M, Fremantle should win this but Brisbane are a young side and therefore unpredictable. The bye is also a bit of a curse in that most teams have lost after the break. Team selection will be interesting as there are a number of players on the comeback trail from injury. I wonder if Bennell is getting close to being picked?

Bennell hurt his wrist or similar last week so according to Ross Lyon on tv he'll be with Peel again....for mine, I don't think he'll play another AFL game but could be wrong.

I have thought for the last 2 years that Bennell won't play again, have seen nothing to change my mind. Freo should win on Sunday but need to be careful. Can't see Freo making the 8. Will finish close to where they are now but I'm happy with the progress so far and maybe finish with 9 or 10 wins would be a healthy result. Next year should be around the 8.

It's pleasing to see Lyon actually developing some young kids. It was said a while ago that historically he's been a finisher and not a developer and he doesn't blood young guys until it's too late. I think this year he's finally got Freo heading in the right direction by pushing aside the older blokes and challenging newbies. It still concerns me that he goes back to Danyle Pearce and Michael Johnson when there's a few injuries but I guess with the likes of Apeness, Cox, Giro, Cerra, Nyhuis, Brayshaw, Banfield etc all playing in he one's the well is a bit dry back at the chunder.

fair enough...both would actually look good in a Subi jumper next year but at 34 or so I don't think that's going to happen.

I certainly hope there are 5 or 6 players in doubt for Sunday so Freo have to hold back a number of players from the WAFL on Saturday.

Brisbane are building quiet nicley in 2018.Still a few years off finals and not good enough ATM.To beat Freo at home.Ross will shut the Loins midfield down so they don't play that shootout game they like playing.

Bad luck for Conor Blakely who was injured at training during the week and will be out for at least 6 weeks. Not a great time for the Blakely boys as Nathan won't be appearing for Swans for a while either.

Someone at Freo ran over a blackcat .Losing Sandilands before the first bounce. Then the captain early in the 2nd qtr.Leaving Freo two key players down on the bench most of the game.Not taking away from Brissy good performance.
