The media keep saying that Ross has a plan and is using his top of table advantage. I would think that it's time he cranked it up, coz he doesn't have much of a buffer over the few teams that are breathing down his neck now. Who knows, maybe Freo will slip into gear now, but it had better be soon.

Not sure there is another gear and for a team that does not score big they miss too many shots at goal. Case in point, and only listening on the radio, Daniel Pearce today, set shot miss , he seems to do that a lot

Especialy under pressure, he was the same at Port

Fyfe looks in trouble for mine, it was head high and went past the ball, just a reprimand and good bye medal.

Yeah , I was one who thought Lyon had a plan, was holding back a bit , but to me honest I reckon they could be looking at another straight sets exits.

You would know a lot about dirty snipers Anchor as your club has had a few of them over the years. Kickett. Hedland the Carr bros Crowley and now Suban. Is there any I missed.
Interesting that Wingard still goes by the players code after the hit he took from Hodge.

Can't believe we won that, was so frustrated watching it but somehow we came out with a win!! Say what you like about Boomer but the old bugger keeps on coming when we need him. Just fantastic & I think we have made it hard for Geelong now. The concern for Fremantle is again goals, we kept them to just 5 goals in the last 3 quarters. They do have big spells where it drys up for them, and too often.

As for Fyfe, he may be pushing it fine & his worry now is he was on his third strike. But he is more clumsy than anything. He was probably one inch off causing a serious injury, but in my opinion in this case, it was a free kick against him and nothing else. Could have been real bad, but the fact was it wasn't. But the media will do the usual and go over the top. I can already see the paper headlines and all the over dramatic bullshit.

BTB Seriously? So Suban should have got 4-6 weeks for viciously attacking the Eagles' player's teeth? Suban is the innocent victim here and no amount of deflection and obfuscation will remove the blight on a player who CHOSE to bite another player.

No sure mate, all the media I heard are trying to play it down as much as possible especially 6PR and Brad Hardie leading the way saying nothing to worry about. Fox Footy had a different view.

thought 2 weeks for biting was embarrasing. NRL gives about 12 weeks for that.

I think the whole thing with Fyfe is a reflexion on how the game has changed. You have a young player who is now treading on egg shells because he cant play in the manner we were all taught, to go hard at the ball. He is a ball player and a very entertaining player to watch. He has all the attributes that I admire in a footballer, most of all his desire to get the ball. The game has been heading to a basketball type game where the players a very robotic, rolling scrums and an assortment of rules that are forever changing. Players who get the ball are sweated on by the others and more often than not are penalised, so this contributes to the scrums. I go to the footy every home game and I don't know the rules anymore, even after looking at the replay I still don't get it quite often. what has become abuntantly clear is that if a player is over the ball, to be clear of infingment, you must let him run by unhindered, even if you are going for the ball as well. Not what I like to see in what was once a great and unique game. No wonder crowd interest is waning, it's a very confusing game now, too many rules, too may umpires and too much gray areas. Fyfe did nothing wrong except being born in the wrong era.

Must have been watching a different game to you, thought he was going for the ball, if he gets rubbed out for that, the game will have to be played with no contact in the future
