Im sure you had a W next to NM v F game at subi as well to start with.

You'll be pushing shit up hill to make the top 4 now,

Id be more concerned about making the 8.

We have has four six day breaks in our eight games so far.Even our loss to Port was off a six day break. We will with out doubt make the top eight and I still see us as a top four finisher.

Anyone Anywhere?? what happened to that,,died a quick death!

Very soft run. Though i think the the dockers will win no more than 10 of their 14 remaining games.

The first 8 games has been good in a way for Freo, it was probably one of, if not the hardest and should they win enough games in the next 14, they will be a genuine
flag chance. They haven't been all that bad.

well you could hardly call it a difficult run home. last season freo did indeed have a very, very soft run home. like you say all shall be revealed - and your on record as predicting 13 wins for freo from their remaining 14 games.

that is fine. people are entitled to have and state an opinion. you have stated yours. and i have stated mine. i think freo will drop at least 3 or 4 of their remaining games.

There are 4 games you would consider difficult, 2 against Geelong (one home one away)
Hawks at home and Port at home. They are all winnable as Hawks are suseptable at Subi and they are getting injuries and I wonder if Sat game against Port was played at Subi, would the result have been better? I don't think Freo are too far away from good form and subject to injuries/suspension will continue to improve over the coming weeks with some depth players coming back from Peel. All is not lost yet, a loss this weekend would be very damaging however and would probably change my mind.

If you lose to the cats this weekend, top four is gone, if it isnt already - there is no way you can make top four with 5 losses in the bank already and then battle it out with teams already camped in there 3 or 4 games ahead of you, teams with 6 - 7 losses for the entire season normally just scrape in the four, you can afford to drop maybe 2 more games at the most from here to the end of the year..

another thing is how taxing it is to keep winning late into the season, by the time they get there they are cooked..

this is the complete reveraal of last year, if you remember correctly, they got off to a good start and had wins over tougher teams early...coming towards the finals they could afford to rest players and drop games...

you won't have that luxury this year, and your run home in the last few weeks is hard as fark.

booking in easy wins is another common trap, teams just about always drop a game when not expected, site NMFC, I would say the dockers are always suspect at the MCG regardless of who they play, and are now treating western derbies as gimme's , that can bite you on the arse.

of course for them to get into the top 4 someone in the top four has to drop out, Cant see any of these giving up spots easy now - Hawks, Swans, Port Cats.

Last time I looked we are 1 game out of the 4. I agree if we lose this week then making the 4 is over. If we win and I am reasonable confident we will, then it's very much alive. To early to call for sure yet.

No doubt Freo are still in the mix for a top 4 spot. But can you tell me which one of the 4 are going to make way or them?
