I would have gone for Brayshaw but I thought at the time that Pearce was OK. After watching last night I am having my doubts. I am also starting to wonder about the quality of coaching, tactics and selections. Why would you name a key forward as a substitute rather than a midfielder like most teams do? It was obvious from this that they were going to sub out Amiss at some stage, so what does that do to the young mans confidence?

Jackson has hardly set the world on fire but they have to give him a chance to adapt to the game plan I suppose. Taberner is out for months and who knows when Fyfe will return. I agree that Hamling deserves a go but it appears that once you are on the outer with Longmuir it is tough to get back

Freo must be considered the worst performing team in the comp so far after making finals last year they seem headed for bottom 4 this year. They lack confidence, direction and intensity, so you have to look at the coaching panel. Like Simpson at the Weags, Longmuir never seems to have any plan B, at least Simpson has the excuse of the worst injury list in the comp.

I thought the Eagles actually put up a creditable effort today in Adelaide. I thought they were going to be blown away by 60+ but they fought the game out. Something to work with there I think. They just don't have the cattle at the moment whereas the Dockers have drastically underperformed even in games they have won

Read an article yesterday from the Hanger.
Adelaide Crows are going all out to secure . Himmelberg from GWS+Redman from Essendon.
That leaves contract negotiations for Taylor Walker,up in the air.Tex is still playing good footy. All Australian squad last year.
Recon Tex is a really good fit at Freo.On a two year contract.Tex is good at organizing a fwd line,on field.

Could do worse, Freo's still a relatively young list and without Fyfe they lack on field leadership, which Tex can bring. Fyfe is looking more likely to look elsewhere and I dont blame him, he has given Freo far more than Freo has given him on the field.
