Bill will most probably put a few of our Ressies in this one to give them a chance to show their wares and give a few of the League guys a chance to get over niggling injuries and have a rest.. Krakouer will be a must as this could be the one to get him over the hump.. Foxtel Cup is a nothing event really except for the money but the WAFL 4 points is priceless..

WPFC round up of the Ressies game.. Mitch is not far off amongst a few
Drew is kicking goals every week and looks good up forward.
I have been impressed with Seva Martin who is starting to look good. One thing I do notice is his hitouts are usually won by a WP player. Last game 27 HO
Shaun Marusic impresses me each week and is not far off.

It will be interesting to see the team line up for EP in this game
They have a bye on 17 May then the state game on 24 May
so next game v WP Monday 2 June (Foundation day) at Joondalup
So they certainly will have a good break!!!!!

All depends on ins and outs but interested how the Eagles will approach this..

WP play Foxtel 6 May After a bye on previous Saturday and then have a pretty decent break to when they play Peel Sunday 11 May at Joondalup.

Gee must of been fun working all this out.. Hope I got it all right B)

You've been impressed with big Seva - We're over the moon with the big "S" from you fellas !!! He's a 100% goer and hasn't missed a beat from the first game in our colours.

I always liked big Seva - He'll be ok with time.

:cheer: Chopper he was a good catch considering WPFC rucking strength. The loss of Frank Stockley was a big blow but Can see where Frank was comming from and he has certainly had a brilliant season in the League with the lossless Subi. All the best to him.

Seva's Recruit was a bonus for us I must admit didnt know much about him but thats irrelevant as he is putting in for the club and improving with every game. I notice Chris has a word with him at some of the breaks and that is brilliant to see the Senior Ruckman giving him pointers. Seva would take it all in as I saw at one game.

A bit about the guy as he is practically an unknown at WP - Former Subiaco ruckman Seva Martin arrives to provide some support to premiership big man Chris Keunen.

Martin is a natural ruckman with the 22-year-old having already played 36 reserves games for Subiaco where he has averaged 22 hit outs along with four league appearances averaging 29 hit outs.

In 2013 alone, he had 331 hit outs in 11 reserves games for Subiaco and 102 in three league matches with the Lions.

Sev is jumper number 30 at WPFC. I tried to get a decent pic of him but the WPFC site players pics dont have one. Time they sorted that players page out :(
Went to Crock Photography and got a couple but not the best.

Now just to get back on topic  Foxtel Cup sides will be picked over the next weekend or with a bit of luck on Thursday this week. Dont know what way the club will go but in the past have taken a few Ressies along for a run to give some of the League guys a break.. Chris Kuenen could need a break? Striker needs a break as do a couple of others with niggling injuries and after the Foxtel all games will be VITAL!!!! Just my thoughts there.

Anyway here are a couple of pics I found on Croc... Come on Belinda get us a couple more..

IMO Chooky is not doing the job as our power forward and a couple of Big players who come to mind as replacements in the Forward line and can kick goals are
Max Alexander and Shaun Marusic. Both have been performing ok and deserve a chance in the league up forward. As I said they are well built and have been good in the air and on the ground

Heres their records from the WAFL site

Shaun Marusic

www.wafl.com.au/players/view/4953

Max Alexander

Ok I am drawing a long bow here and I could be wrong but the guys must be given a go

We have Rhodesy and Macca who are doing well in the forward line and well up to league standard but I am looking at Big Forwards who can provide a Target.

Maybe even try both these guys in the Foxtel cup even though Box Hill Opposition will possibly be a bit stronger than what they would encounter in a WAFL side ?

Just food for thought and something to throw into the mix..Your Opinions????

Get Johnson in the side and keep him there as a lead up forward, has pace to maintain pressure in the forward line. If he can kick 6 on debut, give him more opportunities to do it again.

Good input Leedy but Johnno hasnt been doing that much and a couple more are favoured imo e.g Macca and Rhodsy as can been seen above and they have been consistent..In saying that though:

Cant remember where Paul is playing Johnson? If he is playing forward and capable of kicking goals he would be doing it in Reserves surely.
In the above game 11 poss and 1 goal and I havent gone back to look at previous games but sure he is not kicking that many goals.
My point is if he isnt doing it in Reserves why would you elevate him?
