West Perth over the years have a good run down at Mandurah even when Peel have had a full squad and the few losses that we have had it's only been by small margins. We need to win this one and I hope that the mighty Swans can knock off Claremont. Black is out for a couple of weeks with a hammy, Hutchings is a perfect replacement, he is over his injury and his 31 disposals shows he's back in form. We have good stocks in the seconds with Patterson and both the Johnsons playing well. Peels height is a worry but if we play smart football we can beat them, this is a season defining game for us, but we do need Swans to help us out.

Will have to be a monumental effort by Swans to bowl Claremont over in the next set of qualifying fixtures.
West Perth will need to be on the ball in this match. The Falcons narrowly lost the last time. I'm sure they've taken some lessons from the previous encounter and hopefully come away with the 4 points

it is going to come down to Claremont giving up the 4 points to Mandurah
that was the one that would have kicked the door wide open

Hate to rain on your parade guys but have you checked out Swans recent record at Claremont?
Haven't won there since 2013 which is 9 consecutive losses including 3 at the Showgrounds.
Its a long time between drinks but I suppose you could say we are due!

Is what it is Mike, Swans are more than capable and Claremont have been ordinary. We hadn't won at CL Oval for 3-4 years and were at one stage 58 points up winning by 49 !

Well it's do or die this weekend. We HAVE to beat Peel and SD HAVE to beat CL.Yes I know mathematically it could still come down to a last round scenario that P has to beat CL in the event of both us and CL winning this weekend but the odds are low.No disrespect to P in that instance but I wouldn't be putting.my hard earned on it.It begs the question do we deserve to be playing finals?Of the teams in the 5 at the moment we have clashed 8 times so far and won 2.Not overly impressive and it's frustrating that we are running into some form so late in the season. To be rewarded with finals having had an indifferent campaign seems a bit unfair  but if it comes to fruition I think we could give things a shake.I remember EP in 78 had a great run at the end and we all remember what happened then.Anyway what will be will be eh Whinnen and here's to hoping.

Pretty simple, if you make it you deserved it.
If you dont then you didn't.

I suppose you are right SS.Would prefer us in instead of Peel(as I think most on this site would) but what will be will be.On a playing note congrats to Logan Foley on his debut.Good size of a lad and had a very good game in the Ressies last week and deserved his selection. It will be interesting how they use him - maybe the second ruck and the extra tall in the forward line allowing Pegararo to prop up our short backline.Pity that really if it happens because Pegs has been a revelation playing forward with the occasional run on the ball.Sprigg probably played his best game last week which is encouraging and really emphasises the strategy this year of introducing our successful colts boys over the last few seasons.Get some game time into them to hopefully get some success over the next few seasons.
