Yes BC missed opportunities in the first half cost us dearly.
Had all the play and didn't capitalise..
Chris Mitsopoulos and the other commentators got it spot on.
Lack of quality tall forwards and a 200cm ruckman dominating the tap outs are the difference.
Our midfielders just weren't able or capable to win the clearances from a dominant ruckman.
About 10cm taller than ours.
Our backline plays manfully.

When I got there we were 1 point up - about the 8 minute mark of the 3 quarter. Claremont kick the next 4 goals if I remember rightly. I was spewing. Positives first. We fought it out right to the wire. We have a lot more talk than I can ever remember. Eyersy tried hard in the centre and our centre men did a very good job in the last quarter. Lots of good play but just didn't finish. Negatives. Our forwards just kept letting Claremont mark the ball in our forward line in the 3rd quarter. If in no position to mark bring the fucking ball to ground and hurt the opposition player as much a possible while doing it (not head, neck or testicles). I yelled out to Eyersy once to tell him he should have bought the ball to ground too. Poor old 38 had a day to forget from what I saw. Really struggled - but I don't know maybe it was his first game or something. I like Edmonds - but with 1 minute to go he watched and waited for a high ball to bounce in the back pocket instead of getting to it and marking it and playing on for a final push. Could have easily have got to the ball but chose to watch it. Narrior didn't look like he wanted it. The last thing was our accuracy of course.

FMD absolutely dominated for three quarters and disappeared in the third and blew an absolute rolled gold opportunity to stitch up a finals spot. Unfknbelievable

We kept C to only goal in the first, second and last quarters, but let them off the leash completely in the third. I can only assume the coaching panel is aware of our third quarter problem and are taking steps to address it. In the last three weeks, we have conceded 18 3rd quarter goals and kicked only 4. We could have beaten at least one of WP or C with a better third term. Our forward entries generally were very poor and especially in the third, where C got their talls back repeatedly. Very disappointing, we could have all but wrapped up 4th by now. Instead we are still vulnerable. Got to avoid losing too much in percentage next week against S and win 2 of the last three.

Agree with all comments and cannot improve on them in anyway.

Missed opportunities and went to sleep in third quarter. Good effort to get back into the game but too late.
Have been saying it all year, we must have some quality forwards who don't mind kicking goals, and a quality ruckman.
We are still way off and we cannot improve further until we address the deficiencies.
Don't like our chances of making the finals from here. We played our grand final for 2019 some time ago IMHO.
