Yes a champion player but off the field he has limitations IMO.
Anyway there is no sense thinking too far ahead. I am looking for change that may take a couple of years to fully implement and for major results to become obvious. I expect the new regime will be planning for longer down the track than two years.

Whatever your thoughts are regarding the board, it is a very time consuming job that often involves a lot of things that go unseen by the supporters. Each person tries to do the job to the best of their abilities and no one individual will perform the role in the same way as another.

Thank you Daryl and Neil for your time involved on the board.

Now it’s over to Bob Shields to implement the changes he sees are necessary for the club to become successful once again. Good luck to Bob and the board and up the Demons.

Email message from new President advising amongst other things that Clint Jones has stepped down as captain and Corey Yeo to lead the club in 2019.
Also he committed in essence to reastablish the club as a powerhouse of the competition both on and off the field.
Interestingly, over the next two years he will seek to identify suitably qualified persons up to 30 years younger than he is who can potentially takeover the leadership of the club and carry on the work that he he is about to commence.
I see some very interesting times ahead.

Great to see a former champion taking the reigns of the club. I hope Bob has plans to serve as president a lot longer than a few years. It will take time to get this club back as a force to be reckoned with on the field and it will take more than one or two finals appearances.
