He'd look good in maroon and gold.... ;-)

Yep, agree. High quality player at WAFL level and would make a huge difference to our defence.

I agree Dazz. A very talented player and the very type we need to slot back into our defence. He will add a lot of stability down back.
We need to be working hard on all our AFL listed players likely to be delisted. We need them all back home at Lathlain if we are to start building any momentum for a major performance improvement that will finally take us to finals next season. Depth will be the key and that will only come with a combination of our young talent together with returning AFL players AND a comprehensive and successful recruiting programme that will address specific shortfalls.
BC, maroon and gold would not suit him at all. Try picking the bones of other clubs and leave us alone "greedy guts".

Would Taylor be better suited to the midfield?

You may be right 30+. He has pace and good ball skills, knows where to find the ball and though only 186cm would add a little height midfield. Generally a versatile player.
If he has been delisted we need to entice him back to WA and indeed to Lathlain...imperative.

You would have to think Mayne would be a slim chance next year, after reading what Buckley has to say about him even though he's contracted at the Pies for another three years , basically said he had nothing to do with his recruitment and it was a mistake , don't see how he can play under a coach that doesn't rate him and what Bucks said about him, could even be payed out and delisted.

I can't believe how these coaches go on about having no say in player selection. Get involved!
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Well if Collingwood knife him and no-one else picks him up he will be a very welcome addition to the forward line at Lathlain. Another imperative addition for 2018.

Yep no way Mayne can play there and certainly not for another 3 years.
Trouble is they pay him out and it's still part of there player payments for the next 3 years,I think?
He would be that elusive forward we just can't get our hands on although knowing our club they would play him in the backline.

No way could we play him down back. No sense him coming back if we did that IMO.
I think that the WAFC deal, for what it may be worth, will give us some relief on player payments, especially returning AFL players.
Here's hoping.
