Well a week is a long time in football. Last week I thought shit what else can I do to amuse myself this winter. Started thinking about my next trip overseas. A week later the Demons and Dockers are mighty.

Jones and Tropiano played like the champions they are but I thought Devin McFarlane played a massive game. His kicking is outstanding.

According to Glen Mitchell on KIX, EF's 22 had a combined total of nearly 1900 games between them compared to Perth's just over 800. Over 1000 games difference in experience. That points to a ptotentially exciting future.

McFarlane has a lethal left foot Dazz, loved him backing himself not sure if it was the first or third qtr when he ran around an opponent and went bang from around 50. So many positives to come out of this win. Credit must go to Earl Spalding who has backed the kids and sending a message to others. Morisey and McPhail were very good down back, Corey Byrne is a ripper and Mitch Browne had a good return to the senior side, a couple of real hard nuts and how good is it to have a couple of tall targets permanently up front with some exciting crumbers.

Yep, a lot to like about today. The more these kids play the better they will get and their appetite for the game is rubbing off on the more experienced players.
Gordo played his best game yet and he has so much upside. And Zareth Roe has picked up the pace and is getting better with every run.
I am a fan of MacFarlane. He has slotted in well to the backline and has lifted his workrate in the absence of Sinclair as has McPhail.
But one game does not a season make. Enjoy the break boys and come back refreshed and ready to do more battle.

Glad to hear Zareth Roe is starting to put it together...only a young fella and chatting to his mum at the SD game comes from a good stable...onwards and upwards Dees, let's hope you can build on today's win and have some success in 17

Great to get the win yesterday. I thought Sam Garstone game was great. He was really dominant every time he went near the ball.
