From memory last year at this stage (2/3 weeks until round 1) we had almost reached 1000 memberships. This year the target has raised from 1000 to 1200 and according to the website we are only at 473.

Thoughts on why we are so far behind this year at the same stage?

Been a very quiet off season - quieter than normal for Perth.
No big name recruits so any improvement will have to come from the current list stepping up, the lesser known recruits and the kids coming through. Hard to be too enthused.
We don't play our first game for two weeks so hopefully the numbers will improve, surely, by the time we play our first home game at Lathlain.
Still very disappointing at this stage.

I have heard that Angus Graham has left the club in the past few days Very dissapointing if that is the case. Can anyone confirm?

Most likely the slow start to membership is due to the reduced number of home games to start the season because of the redevelopment.

After a great month or so that saw Tropiano recommit, Clem Smith, Brant College and Tendai Mzungu all sign we had great momentum. Soon after Tendai got snapped up by GWS then no news for a while and since then clem Smith and Angus Graham have pulled the pin so it's pretty deflating.

Add to that the uncertainty about when we will start playing home games and how many home games we will get at Lathlain affects the value of buying a membership which includes a discount rate on home games.

As usual the club is poor at keeping its members informed about such matters.

The Demons will be playing all there home games at Lathlain. Was confirmed on the clubs Facebook page earlier today.

Now that this has been announced it may see a sudden spike in membership numbers. I know some people were waiting before they would commit to buying one.

Why??

They were waiting to see if they'd get 10 home games or less DF.

My understanding was we were always getting the home games.
It may have more to do with the lack of interest in football from the board room.

There is one thing that will guarantee membership and bring this club back to sustained financial success.
