DD: so do I, believe me. I did find a little bit about the PFC -- it was not easy -- on a Town of Vic Park Web Page. Here it is below:

Perth Football Club lease renewed
JULY 20, 2015
In its July meeting, Council resolved to extend the Perth Football Club lease of Lathlain Park by five years after it expired on 30 June.

The lease will secure the club at Lathlain Park until the Lathlain Precinct Redevelopment Project is finished, and a new lease agreement is worked out between the Town, the West Coast Eagles and the Perth Football Club.

From my point of view, reading the above, if the PFC is still at Laithlan Park in five years time it will be the host club. It annoys me no end, because until Barnett decided to build his stadium at Burswood, everybody left Perth alone, rightlly or wronglly.

The WACA will give the club an out, hopefully.

Thank you for finding that info AR. Would you mind posting a link to that info? Would be handy to have hear for future reference.

BY the way the WACA is not an option for me. Lathlain is our home now.

I cannot see this becoming an issue. Sean is maybe whipping up a tizzy in a tea cup. The Perth footy Club are in a ground sharing arrangement only as far as I can tell. The Dees will have their own Admin and change-rooms etcetera. As long as it stays that way will be acceptable.

I wonder what Sean's position was with the proposed West Perth name change to Joondalup?To think I stuck my neck out for him,if he was Deadset against it.He would now appear to be a Hypocrite of the Highest Order,now he's poking his nose in our affairs!

If he was for West Perth's name change,then I guess he doesn't really respect WAFL Heritage as much as we'd think.

His Arguement's are pretty weak and it's laughable that a supporter of an AFL Club with close to Zero Constitutional Voting Rights for it's members,should now be asking for our Members to get a Vote to change our Identity,let alone Our Colours.

Our Club Constitution states,"the playing colours shall be Red and Black!"Be buggered if we're changing that for you,Sean.Unless you lot Fix the Numbers and buy memberships en masse,but I reckon there's a way around that Electoral Dirty Trick!

Funny you mention Claremont Grassy. Claremont were talked about as a possible alignment partner with the Eagles and I have no doubt if they had the land mass we have around Claremont Oval then they would be moving in with the Tigers. I am sure they see themselves having a lot more in common with them than us.

Wash your mouth out with soap DD the alignment in 99 fractured our club and NO chance it was ever going to happen again.

The Town of Victoria Park have, through the whole process, said that the tenure of the Perth Football Club had to be protected.
The development of the facility will be inclusive of community facilities (including our new facility) over which the Eagles will have no control.
Obviously the shape of the grounds are at the request of the Eagles.
Aren't the Eagles substantially funding their own premises?

It reads differently to me.
So Ark, PFC having worked so hard for their new premises, they will move to WACA.
Get real!!!
What it reads, is simple.
PFC will hold a lease over it's new premises.
Any alignment with WCE will be done over a lot of dead bodies.

In fact I will go further Ark.
IMHO, any alignment with the WCE could well be dead and buried well before we move into our new premises.

Arkrrrr, I think you will find that the lease is with the council or city not with PFC.

as for the goodwill, well that again is between the AFL and Council.

DF: I have made reference to the WACA because you might not get another lease if you want to be a stand alone team.

I still believe that at the end of the EP contract WC will dump EP and establish their own team, same at Adelaide have done. 10 team comp, no byes, 18 rounds and a final 5, Given CH 7 only broadcast 18 H & A games they will support this and we all know they have massive influence over the WAFC.

That will leave Perth alone and I think they will flourish in their new facilities. NBo issue with 3 teams at Lathlain as they will have 2 ovals. Along with some sensible player quals for finals it will be the best of a bad situation given the aligments/reserves team situation is set in concrete.
