Yeah, yeah! They've had a taste of Senior Footy and good on 'em.Now can we send them back to try and Win the Flag, please?Otherwise what's the bloody point of them showing up? :woohoo:

The Club NEEDS a PREMIERSHIP in any grade BADLY!

We can talk Develoment all we want, but the Ultimate Development comes with Silverware.

Not with Nothing to show for it!

Grassy noticed that Zac Fisher again played league yesterday. Has he been qualified to play in your Colts finals campaign? If not seems a strange decision seeing the senior side had no chance of getting into the top 5 after last weeks loss. Going to be a pity to have the young fella watching from the side lines when he could be out there playing for you. Pretty sure that the other sides in the mix have qualified their 18s and also exposed them to senior football.

I agree with sentiments here that Walley, Boyes and Browne bring very little to the league side.
I am astounded that Marshall Jones is not playing in the senior side. BOG and 5 goals yesterday.
A very wasteful effort yesterday with 63 disposals to score each of our goals compared to 17 disposals per goal by both the Ressies and the Colts. No where near good enough and very disappointing to see experienced players cough up the ball with weak hands.
A giant gap in skill level between the two sides.

Players who play in positions where their success is reliant on other players' skills of delivery and when those skills are poor, the deliverers don't get dropped but the player on the receiving end of these poor deliveries. The Stack Award would go to those players who, when dropped, take it in good spirit, play their heart out for their club in the reserves and fight to retain their league spot. The Stack Award would go to a player who, despite being treated as a scapegoat for a team's performance time and time again, and would probably shine in a better team, still suits up year after year, all for the love of his club. I for one stand proud and say, "All the Brennan Stacks of the past present and future, we salute you. For it is people like you around whom a club's true spirit is built."

CM,

Your spot on as to the quality of the bloke and I know by speaking to people at Perth yesterday that he is one of the nicest blokes you will meet. The thing you blokes must realise is that would be underlying circumstances for him being dropped, it could be that he can't train at times for example (nudge, nudge, wink, wink ;). Another thing is this is whats required to create a healthy culture, imagine the impact it would have aon many more individuals at the club if he was given games??? straight back to where you were.

Mr,

Not a chance mate, I sit on the Southern hill and he kicked it a solid 2 seconds before the siren. It was shit luck that the siren went when one of your blokes was running into a open goal

I can cop not having Zac Fisher Observer,as he's been playing Senior Footy when we have him.Jonesy?Love to have him,but if he's nowhere near Qualifying, then leave things be.

So long as we Our Full Squad playing together,as of Now!So if the Club insists on playing guys like Levien,Ninyette and Narkle in the Seniors, they play them in the League or back at Colts, with No disrespect to our Ressies.Good work in the past few weeks fellas, but now the Main Focus is League and Colts.

Depends whether you believe it should be team first or club first. Personally I want to see capable youngsters playing up to get the taste and experience of senior footy like the four boys from the colts in the ressies yesterday. The colts won with six first-team starters missing yesterday. They are going alright.

I agree Dazzler, our number one priority has to always be development.
Those four kids in the ressies are future league players if we develop them.
We have not done it in the past and probably for the wrong reasons.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!

Yep, sounds fine DF. What Perth need to remember it's all fine , rosy and cosy to develop players, but said players then need to stick around long enough. Retention and keeping is also important. Too many instances where we now see good developed players drifting off and away from the Wafl. :( When that happens you just go back to square one over and over again. Not detracting from the other team players as I'm quite sure they try hard. Development takes time and is not an overnight occurrence.

Grassy wrote: Colts Winning a Flag is what's good for the Club.

If it isn't,the Club shouldn't bother wasting their time,by playing them from here.I seriously hope that wouldn't eventuate, but you just never know with PERTH.

We've had a few teams, albeit in Colts and Reserves in good positions to do something at Finals Time over the past 10 or so years, but what do we do?Fiddle around with selections, upsetting the balance of the team and our ambitions go up in smoke!

Does this club want any sort of success or doesn't it?

Do you reckon Claremont are going to promote Petrovski-Seton to the League,as his Talent demands or keep him back with the Colts to have a Tilt at Defending their Flag?

Hmmmm,tough question that!

We are playing South Fremantle next week for TOP SPOT!Let me emphasize that!

TOP SPOT!

We got away with it yesterday, fiddling with the Team's makeup. We won't get away with it against a Club that knows what Success is at Colts Level!

Does the Club want to Win something or what? Will it give Rucky, his Assistants and the Colts boys the best chance to WIN?!Will it stop the Rotations in between squads?

Or will we come to the usual Disappointing end? :( ZERO SUCCESS! :(

Development and Success at any level is a fine line.

While the ultimate goal is developing future league players that will hopefully contribute to any success that the club has in the future, premierships in the lower levels are also good for the players involved in them and also for long suffering supporters.

Also premierships in the lower grades might possibly help with players sticking around for longer.

If I was the football department I would look at giving games to players they think have earned it over the next two or three weeks. Then come the last game or the game before that I would be looking at playing as close to the best team that the colts could have.
