A mixed bag of good and not so good footy.

It's too easy for me to comment, when I missed the 2 Losses,so I look forward to Rucky's Comments on how things are and how he sees the rest of the season.

With the State players back,it will be interesting to see how it all pans out. With today's loss,I expected South to take Top position. But with their Loss to a potentially Dangerous East Perth, the season gets even more interesting.

Claremont will be a Force to be reckoned with.If they can secure Sam Petrovski-Seton's services, they are a Major threat for the Premiership.

Despite today's loss,South won't be written off and by all means can Win this Competition as well.

Swans aren't around to make up the numbers and Old Easts won't give up on making the Finals without having a crack.

We've had a couple of Losses now and the Heat is on us to perform and Win often,to secure Top Spot.

Starting next week against an opposition that hasn't won yet and will be desperate to throw the kitchen sink at us.That equals Danger game.

Seriously!

Good luck fellas. The Supporters are right behind you!

Surely you jest??!?!? Subi are miles off the pace at colts level this year.

We were never in it yesterday. I wouldn't be too worried. They needed a kick in the arse to remind them of the work rate required to maintain top spot.

Hopefully they can reset with the four back from U18s and get back to playing the direct, fast paced brand of footy they've played so far for most of the season.

I like the look of, is it Quinton Narkle?
The blonde haired kid?
He looked skilfull.

Yes, very talented player DF. Been dominant in the midfield for the colts this season. Hard at it and can kick a goal. Probably worthy of a league debut before the seasons out. I suspect he'll go in the draft.

Poop, but good luck to him.
I hope that this group may provide some talent unlucky not to get picked up.
That maybe we can successfully transition to League footballers.
Our failing in the past.
But I think we may be learning to do.

Big game against South, for top Spot!

3 Tough opponents to follow and that includes East Fremantle, who face a do or die match,if East Perth win this week.

Which direction will the Demons take? Will it go from strength to strength to firm in Premiership Favourtism?

Or will the club play around with it's form and trip it right up?

I'm hopefull ofthe former and hopefully Quinton Narkle is back to steady the ship after last week's scare.So,......

Caaarrn The Mighty Demons!

This could be a season defining moment for both teams.

I'm not sure the Souths team is as strong as it was last time we played and defeated them earlier in the season, a few missing maybe to injury(?) and Tim English playing ressies thank god. But we're probably not as strong as we were then either.

Yes, Narkle back would be handy. As would Zareth Roe who is one of the few big guys in the team and does great work around the ground.

Great to see Ninny debuting in the league team. He'll be missed but a great chance for another to step up.

Should be a ripper game.

Should be a ripper game....

Unfortunately Quinton Narkle has got a knee injury which means he might be unavailable for the remainder of the year? Terrible news for the young fella and the team if true..A talented young fella.

SF have English , Brown , Datson playing up who have played colts all year and Donaldson, Pickett and Collard are colts eligible kids who have played up all year in reserves and league.

Best of luck to both teams...

Grassy has there ever been a bigger and better group of indigenous boys at the club at the one time than what we have now in the colts? Just from yesterday's team we had Arnold Punch, Joe Ugle, Cody Kickett, Lindsay Martin, Brodey Eades, David Slater and Kobe Simpson out there and then missing was Gordon Narrier, Zareth Roe, Cody Ninyette and Quinton Narkle.

On top of that there's also Ian Hill (MVP at National U16s) and Sidney Stack coming through.

Cody Kickett and Joe Ugle were just superb in that third quarter blitz yesterday, Cody Kickett and Kobe Simpson screamers (Shai Bolton's wasn't too bad either in front of the Souths members in the second quarter) and David Slater kicking a great pressure goal from the angle when South were threatening to pull away in that second quarter were highlights.

Could have been a much bigger margin. I counted half a dozen posters and as many out on the fulls from shots on goals.

I still think South with all their players back for the finals will present the biggest challenge to getting a flag.

Great depth there coming through Dazz including also the non indigenous boys. We may have a couple drafted but the rest have to be nurtured and well managed. We don't want to see them drift away disappointed at not being drafted and looking to move to other clubs or even head for the country or ammos.
We have built the depth let's not waste it.

Out of interest are any of these boys mentioned above KPP potential? Or are they that dime a dozen 170 - 180 cm in height?...just curious because the latter category of players seem to be the ones that dominate at colts but get lost once they go up to seniors.....the footy gets a bit harder and the success doesnt come as easy thus the development stagnates as does the desire to work harder......

No probs Grassy but I think I already know the answer....just hoping you would give me a different one.....touch wood your colts boys go all the way or at least go deep.....this years finals colts wise will be a beauty......anyone of the top 4 can win.....

Seems as though Cl and SD have a lot more players to come back in from the looks of things...which may be the difference at the end of the day....though Perth do seem to have that ability to win games from behind.....
