Watching. Turning it off. Not because of the score but because of that fucking music after each goal.

Wasted some opportunities in that 3rd quarter.

If only what we had to complain about was the doof doof music all day. That was insipid and though we don't like to make excuses that backline with a debutant, 2nd gamer and another playing his 7th game it was a no brainer for me Mr Keitel, Black, Knott and the support crew were going to have a day out.

But the other mob had a 197cm key forward playing his second game and booted 4. Jasper Scaife from Quinns.

HQ had a big day in the magoo's booting 8. Has to be in the seniors next week and I believe Schlensog will be available and Johnno looked alright in the two's. For me him and Schlensog come straight in for Preston-Coates and Poole or Scoble. I probably stick with Scobie.

Daniel Hill had a bad day but had a few mates and came off with an ankle. I'd bring in Howard for him. Few other changes. Cary not in great form, Stubbs kicked 3.2 today maybe a like for like swap. Really liking Michael Hall but happy to see him work on his craft in the reserves.

WP in my opinion are the best structured and balanced side in the WAFL. Taught us a lot of lessons today. Black, Nelson and Meadows just don't get old. Efficient and durable.

Yes we were good today, 2 x young fellas made their mark, Scaife and Bevan. Although we won't match the Ferals and EF, I am more buoyed by the performance of our young blokes in the 2 x wins this year. We get 4 or 5 back leading up to mid season so a lot to look forward to.

A reasonable effort after quarter time and they kept on trying til the end and produced some nice passages of play, unfortunately couldn't capitalise more when they had ascendency late in the 3rd qtr.

Hill hurt his should trying to spoil in the 2nd qtr and looked like he did well to play on.

Edwards not as effective today as against Subi and needs to have a bigger presence around the ground, didn't contest hard enough on a number of occasions and didn't take a mark for the game!

Big game against Swans next Sat

WP are a very physical side and know how to use it. Plus they run super hard and are clean with the ball.
We have too many lightly framed young players who just get brushed aside by the opposition.
Schlensog & Johnston must come in if fit. We badly missed their height. The loss of Avery has been a telling blow.
I do like Scoble. I believe that we must be patient with him and let him develop.
The two Charlies were very good again. Which is Chuck 1 and who Chuck 2 ?  Clarke's kicking for goal was much better today and Simpson was good with goal assists.
The ressies had another good day. HQ 8 goals deserves a call-up next week

Disappointing result, but i think an accurate reflection of where we are at. Definitely improved from last year, but we are still a fair way off matching the top teams over 4 quarters. We need to find more goals. Aaron Clarke has done well enough with three goals a game. But the top teams will almost alway kick around 100p a game. Last year, and again to start this year, we tend to be about 70. We have to find one more goal per quarter on average. We also need to eliminate quarters where we fail to score a goal, or score only one. Against WP we scored one goal in the first and last quarter, and failed to score in the third v Subs.

Q has to come in, probably for Cary. You have to reward an 8 goal performance. Cary has been poor. Stubbs, with 21 touches and 3 goals should also come back, with either Bodie or Kemp to make way. I'd look at playing Simpson forward. So that would be a forward 6 of Kemp/Bodle, Clarke, Q, Stubbs, Chaplin, Simpson. Q and Chaplin can help in the ruck for short stints.

I would resist the temptation to bring Johnson or Schlensog back. Given there is a bye after the SD game, that would give them extra time, and hopefully after the bye, those two plus Sing would be available.

Ted agree with your thoughts on forwards in and out but Johnno and Schlensog need to be brought in otherwise we'll be 1 and 2 going into the bye.

I agree, HQ comes in 8 goals must be rewarded.
That will put a different perspective on our forward structure.
One that will worry opposition once Harry and Aaron work it out.
The footy department will make the right call on Stubbs, Schenslog and Johnson, I am sure.
Schenslog is important so the right call is better for the long term.
IMHO Preston-Coates was unconvincing, although it was a tough call on the kid.
I think at home I am expecting a better showing against SD.
I am still not convinced by CL or Subi, and I am sure that at full strength we can challenge WP.
