Having a go at Brax for stating the obvious, Really! We were frigging awful today. And I was there and I swear that last kick after the siren did not make the distance and we should not have gotten the draw. We could not beat a team of players that can not make a WAFL list. WTF!

Don't worry fella's shiny new digs are on the way at Lathlain. I'm sure that will result in 30-40% improvement in performance and attract new talent.

If the kick for goal was after the siren and the ball was touched before it crossed the line, surely it was a dead ball..... a very ordinary effort.  I must admit I feared a bounce by WCER after last weeks thumpimg..

If a ball is touched and the momentum, of the kick and not the momentum of the touch sees it go through it is a point.

Semantics re: touched and where the momentum comes from. WCE are literally an amateur team. Average losing margin 107, last week pumped by 186.
Reality is we couldn’t beat absolute rabble.

Just watched the replay.
It appears the ball has come off hands and hit the post.
Have to go with the umpires call I guess, so WCE a little unlucky.
To be fair to both sides I think it was actually a good game of footy.
WCE played pretty well, their pressure was good all day as was ours.
Yes we made some mistakes, it will be interesting to hear PG's take on it.
Some ex Perth players played pretty well.
Ethan Hansen does not look the same player, he has improved.
Mercer & McCarthy also played fairly well
Josh Burke was good up forward and Zane Sumich's switch forward helped them back into the game.
I was impressed with Quartermaine's game.
I have been critical of his work ethic, but I could not fault it yesterday.
Maybe not our best key forward but maybe there is a role for him as a big bodied midfielder.
Just MHO.

Surely there are no positives to takes out of that game? We have been humiliated. Have a look at the Big Footy forum, they are mocking Perth, as they should. This kind of thing only builds pressure for an alignment. The less credibility we have on field, the harder it will be to resist.

I didn't go to the game. Can anyone say where it went wrong? Looking at the stats, it seems to me that midfield pressure was lacking. WCER had 58 inside 50 to our 48, despite us having 50 more disposals. That would suggest our backline did ok with the volume of ball coming in, but mids/wings/half backs were letting it in too easily. Complacency, maybe, chasing possessions, not direct enough, too much handball?  And coaching. German has been hailed as a messiah but I am concerned about the inability to stem a run of goals in a few games. WCER average 45 points a game. They kicked 45p in the third quarter alone. Surely once they got 3 or so, we could have done some basic things, like tag Browne, play a loose man in defence, slow the game down with the some possession footy, play the boundary, etc. Perhaps similar tactics could have made the EP loss slightly less damaging. We seem to have a one dimensional game plan that our players don't have the skills or fitness to execute.

That was a deplorable performance yesterday. We should have lost the game, to a team made up of WAFL reserves / amateur players. Just think about that. Where are we as a club. The EP game 2 weeks ago was a terrible game but then to follow that up with yesterday’s showing is not acceptable. Is German really the right man for this situation. The players certainly don’t seem to be playing for him. At Subiaco he had a team in the premiership window every year, our situation is the complete opposite and he seems very frustrated with the whole thing. Also I think it’s time to drop some players who always get a game but don’t deserve it. Can someone explain what role or position Davis is playing. Whatever it is he is having no influence on any game, apart from the usual turnovers.
