The first of those three goals, Kuek clearly put the ball on the ground but was still paid the mark. Commentator said it was the correct decision because Johnston would have interfered with him anyway. Seriously!

The first 2 were dropped marks and should never have been paid.
The last one he ran the ball out of bounds then was caught holding the ball.

Very happy with the team today.
Two Dads going down let AJ show what he can do.

Our back line will soon be the best in the business.

Stubbs was great in the middle - keep him there.

With us loosing Hunter and Bird - both recently and the Q train playing ressies today (without dropping his bundle) our forward line did pretty dam well. Carey will be good with a long run at it, Haywood very handy and Sinclair learning his craft down there.

Can all of us Perth supporters stop calling the umpires names. Human nature dictates that doing this will not help us on split decisions.

Glad Germo continued his robust feedback to individual players today. They will either respond or leave. Hopefully respond

Go Dees.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Tried very hard today and we were not that far away from winning. Overall 100% for endeavour and tensity but let ourselves down with skill errors. We fumble and drop too many marks.
Some very gutsy efforts out there today. Baxter Phillip owned the last quarter. Used his pace and ball use too great advantage and courage galore. Perhaps we have a new running outside mid. I liked Jack Evans efforts. Another courageous small and his two goals were well earned.
Losing Two Dads early was a big loss but AJ tried very hard to fill the gap. We get more drive when Stubbs is in the midfield. He is more valuable in that role than stagnating in the forward line. Bozo first game back from injury needed the run and should benefit from that and allow Stubbs more time in the midfield.
Well done boys. The result could have been different if some of our fumbled marks were rewarded as some of Peel's were incorrectly paid..

Add in the colt's results and the first signs of optimism at Lathlaine Park for a long time.

Yes JL, I am watching the Colt's games and am very pleased with what I am seeing.
There is a lot of talent there.
The secret is seeing that they develop into League players.
IMHO, this is where the Club has let their kids down for a long time.
I am hoping that we are learning and have the right people in place to see them graduate.
There are 8 or 9 good prospects and not all of them will get drafted.
And I hope it's not just one good year (like 1999 6 drafted) and there is more coming through.
We have the right coach, he has graduated some youngsters already so here's hoping.
At least PG knows what a footballer looks like, unlike some previous Coaches.
No names no pack drill, Damian.

Another tall has landed at the Club.
Nash Miller 23 yrs at 202cm played ressies yesterday.
At least the Club is trying to find a ruckman.
Played 17 ressies with SF in 2021 so assume he spent last year playing Ammos.
He will need some time to get fit I would say.
Modest stats 7 disposals and 14 hit outs.
Maybe a work in progress.

Agree with others, that was a brave effort yesterday.

Perhaps he is a brother of South's Jimmy Miller? Maybe a South's supporter can confirm? Got a few 200cm plus ruckmen on our list now. All imports of course. We don't grow them in our backyard. Soil not fertile enough.

Kristian Cary just breathes life into the forward line doesn't he? Plays with serious intent, great overhead mark and reliable in front of goals.

Simon Hayward is proving a few people wrong isn't he? One of the smallest players in the game but is thriving under German and found his spot in the team as a tigerish small forward. Does all the hard stuff and loves it and I think his confidence is growing. Kicking has improved out of sight especially in front of goals. Got a good leg on him that last goal just before the final siren was from about 48 out.

Baxter Philip has some serious wheels doesn't he? Takes the game on and nice skills and Jack Evans is a player that's impressed me in the reserves and his debut yesterday didn't disappoint. Kicked two really nice goals under pressure. He is a busy little player that's always on the move.

Good to see some depth coming through where German might actually find it hard to work out who to leave out when Burner and Cooley return.
